Great Tasting Hokkien Mee. But a little too pricey
Having not eaten Hokkien Mee for god knows how long, when I saw this stall along east coast road on the way to work, it made my tongue salivate. And that was how I discovered this famous hokkien mee stall.
I ordered a $6 medium plate hokkien mee for lunch that day. When it arrived, I was a little disappointed in the size of portion. It wasn't how I envisioned 'medium' to be. It seemed unworthy of that $6. I went ahead to taste it and I have to admit this hokkien mee is definitely unique. It is neither too dry not too wet. The prawns were decently sized and it was savoury. However the price was just a let-down. I could get almost similar quality tasting hokkien mee at Changi village just for $3+.
Yes it tasted delicious, but if it wasn't that expensive, I would have given it a 5/5. Overall still a good experience.
