I don't always go to Clementi, but I'm always glad to patronise this hawker when I do. They have a great spread of variety and they have lots of stalls that are famous for what they sell.
I really love the porridge from here and I would recommend it to anyone who comes here. But do note that because it's so popular, it's usually a 20 minutes wait for your $3.50 porridge. The fish soup and chicken rice here are also pretty well-known, and there'll always be long queues in front of the stalls!
One downside is that it is always crowded here, especially during the lunch and dinner periods, so it's difficult to get seats. But if you've got time to spare and don't mind the wait, you're in for an affordable and satisfying meal.
Calls for Chicken
I used to come here all the time with my friends after gymming. The hawker centre offers good food at an affordable price. A Singaporean favorite is the chicken rice, which is not too oily and very filling. I normally don't like chicken rice, but this stall actually offers something that I wouldn't mind having after working out and needing a good, filling and tasty meal.
The hawker centre also provides a whole variety of dishes, from fish soup to satay, and their western food chicken chop is the best! It's definitely a good choice for guys trying to build up on their protein intake and looking for something yummy to munch on.
It's a great place to gather with your friends if you're on a budget. It's also a really nice place for a family lunch, if you don't mind a slightly warmer place than Foodfare, since it has cheaper and more delicious food!
I come to Clementi plenty of times, whether with schoolmates or simply for its library or the awesome Mall. Given a choice, I would rather come to this hawker centre, for the simple reason that it has reasonably priced food. Rather than eating at the woefully overpriced Foodfare, I would rather come here and just enjoy the awesome variety of food.
They sell many local dishes here, including chicken rice, fish soup and some really nice western food. I have also tried their flavorful fruit juices, which come cheap at just 1.50 to 2 dollars a cup. The food here is delicious, maybe even more delicious than what is at Clementi Mall. Although, be prepared to queue a bit, and wait a little longer for your food, for I am not the only one who thinks the food is great!
great place with good variety
Being a west-er all my life, I have definitely visited this market for my meals many a times. They have recently underwent a revamp, cleaning up and renewing all the new stalls in the food centre. i was pretty damn excited to see how it would turn out to be and was so glad it had a large variety of food options for diners.
This clementi market place houses many pretty popular food stalls, with queues forming for their satay, bak kw, fish soup and western food. As compared to dining in the two new malls near this marketplace, I would sometimes choose to dine here for their larger variety of local food.
