Chilli crab sauce goodness!

Just a walking distance from NTU's campus, it is no wonder that this coffee shop is popular with NTU students, especially those seeking a supper fix.

During dinner time, the zichar stall serves up their speciality - Chilli Crab Sauce or 'lai zi' over some Beef/Pork/Chicken/Fish with either rice or hor fun. It's definitely a must try for all chilli crab lovers like myself. I picked the fried fish 'la zi' rice and added an extra fried egg. It was the perfect dish for a rainy day! The chill crab sauce was easily the best part of the dish and it was a luxury being able to have that for a normal weekday dinner. Needless to say, by the time I was done, my plate was mopped clean of the sauce!

I'm surely coming back for dinner here more often!

Great Supper Place!

I was introduced this place by fellow seniors and it kept me going back again and again!

Every time I visit, I was sure to order it's wanton mee and roti prata (yes, both). I can't say what makes it's wanton mee special, probably it's sauce, but many who've tried sang high praises for it. The wanton isn't very special but I could just eat the noodles with the charsiew plate after plate! However, although the portion is quite alright for a price of $2.50, it doesn't exactly fill one's stomach fully. Thus it'll make do as supper but not quite as dinner/lunch. Which is why I frequently ordered roti prata to go with it. Prices marked as according to the market price, the roti prata is quite good. Rather average but better than many.

Other than these two stalls, I've heard that its tze char stall is rather well-liked too. The place is almost always fully packed with people when I went during dinner and supper times, filled with NTU students as well as residents from the vicinity. To say that you are a student from NTU without having been to Ah Fang at least once would be a fool. Especially for those staying in the old halls, Ah Fang is a must-go. It might be a bit hard to find the place at first since it's buried in the HDB area but not hard to find the second time.

A place I would definitely miss after graduation from NTU!
