Ayer Rajah Market and Food Centre is a true hotpot of local cuisine. From delicious oyster omelettes, ban mian and prawn noodles to sumptous 'rojak' or even Moroccan kebabs, this quaint food centre has it all. At first glance, this place might seem too quiet for a food centre, but residents will tell a different story, one of crowded lunch hours, supper seekers and good times chatting over 'power rojak'. Definitely a heartland gem!

Good, hearty fare!
Ayer Rajah market and food centre boasts many delectable food to choose from making it a popular eating spot for fans of malay and indian cuisine. There is a stall towards the end selling good porridge with anchovies, fried peanuts and vegetables. Definitely a must try! Also the rojak there is good, the sauce a nice blend of spicy and sweet with a generous serving of peanuts on top.
Fans of indian cuisine should also try the numerous beef steak and mutton chop in the area. I don't know any place selling these dishes as good as those found here. That and a nice big glass of sugarcane juice for nice addition to a hearty meal!
