I participated in this year's TNF Singapore City Race with my two friends in the short-distance category (10km). I enjoyed this race very much because I got the chance of racing with my friends and it doubled up as my long run for the week.
At the start, we were given a map with checkpoints and we were meant to navigate around the city area of Singapore to reach the required checkpoints. This forced us to use our navigational skills (No GPS-es allowed!) and at the same time, it allowed us to further appreciate the less-visited but well-known places in Singapore such as Ann Siang Hill.
Overall, I really enjoyed this race as it was well-organised and it allowed me to explore and appreciate the hidden - or not-so-hidden - spots in Singapore that people like me rarely visit. Working together with my friends also encouraged us to forge greater bonds and become closer. Great race!
