I hardly ever step into Etude House because it's too pink for my liking. Nevertheless, the makeup at Etude House has been my go-to recently, especially for days when I don't want to slap on so much makeup.
My favourite product as of late has been the Doctor Mascara Fixer Superlong Lash. Its black, thin strips of fiber mimic the look of an eyelash, creating an illusion that you've got extensions on when its layered. It holds the curl decently well and has no fall out during a day. My only gripe is that while my eyelashes are drastically lengthened, it lacks volume and looks rather sparse.
But for a product under 15sgd, if you're looking for something to create bigger, more alluring eyes, this is the product for you. On lazy makeup days, I skip eyeliner and just rely on this to enhance my eyes. Also, if you're a first time customer at Etude House, ask to sign up for the membership - its free with any purchase!
I have always been a fan of Korea beauty products and now am a frequent user. My favorites are Etude House, The Face Shop, Innisfree and Skin food. The cosmetics often work out well on my skin and the prices range are affordable to the average salaried and even students. Most of these Korea brand cosmetics serve some similarity in terms of the product variety, usage, benefits. But the duration is my only concern. I would prefer to buy lasting cosmetics that will not dry up, break or de-colorize easily.
Here are some products from Etude I have tried and tested:
Oh My Line Eyeliner
Pros : Smooth and easy application. Dries up fast on the lid and is waterproof. I have oily lids and the eyeliner doesn't even smudge after a day out. Easy to remove.
Cons: Last only a short period. The liquid in the small tube dries up really fast after opening. And you will see some dried black clumps around the tip of the brush.
Recommend: For those with consistent usage of eyeliner to make the best use out of it.
Lovely Cookie Blush
Pros: Soft and cute pom pom puff. Reveals slight glitter when applied. Easy application to the apples of your cheek. Colors are natural and light.
Cons: Blush on the cheeks fade off after a while. The puff does not provide enough blending properties.
Recommend: Carrot cheesecake for the average darker skintone, and strawberry choux for fair skin.
Surprise Essence Concealer
Pros: I have been using this for a few years now ever since I tried out this fab concealer! It is comparable to the standards of Bobbi brown. Hides dark circles very well, but not eye bags (they are literally non-concealable). Honey essence help to moisturize and hide imperfections at the same time. Able to use consistently for about two months. Does not cake up.
Cons: none that I can identify for myself.
Drawing Eyebrow Pencil
Pros: Draws out your brow easily with the twist and turn feature. Slant-angle tip also assist in accurate drawing. Easy-remove. Two-in-one pencil and brush feature make money worth.
Cons: I cannot stand that the tip breaks so easily. I bought and used for only a few weeks, and the tip broke unknowingly.
Recommend: Colors black and grey serve to create natural looking eyebrows.
Easy Brow Pencil
Pros: Pencil glides on perfectly and easily onto the brows. An alternative to the drawing eyebrow pencil. Lasting investment for two months.
Cons: The tip may sometimes be too coarse to draw on brows. Require to sharpen the tip just nice in order to draw out neat, structured brows.
Recommend: Brown and grey color.
Wonder Pore Toner
Pros: Push Suction feature, makes retrieving the toner on cotton pad easy.pH friendly on skin. Suitable for sensitive skin. Skin feels refreshed and cleaned after a wipe. Works well on pimple too, by placing the cotton on the affected area for about five mins.
Cons: It takes a while for the effects to be seen, approx one month.
Etude House is every girly girl's paradise. Visit any of their outlets and you will find yourself in a magical land of pink. Their products are all very well designed and really adorable, making them sure to fascinate even the kind of girl who hardly wears makeup.
This brand is also endorsed by popular kpop stars and hence, attract a lot of young teenage girls. I myself have tried some of their products and must say that they were not bad and worth the money! They have many different product ranges to suit different skin types and preferences.
Sometimes when a new product range is launched, I get the urge to purchase a bottle or two as they are just tooo cute. But then again, it won't be long before the next collection is released. Kinda wish they'd slow down a little as I can hardly keep up!
Etude house reminds me of a castle whenever I step in, and it never fails to make me feel like a princess - except for my dressing which makes me more like a pauper.
I have been on the hunt for a product that would make my skin look dewy, and I finally found it. I purchased the the Nymph Aura Volumer in #3 from Etude House for amount a month, and I am loving this product. I am not a avid fan of Etude house, as it is relatively expensive but trust me on this when I say, every single penny spent was worth it. My skin has never looked more dewy, and I look so much healthier. If you are a fan of dewy skin or you just want to achieve a flawless beautiful skin without looking too matte or cakey, this is a go-to beauty product for you. I have tried using many different brands of highlighters, but it just doesn't give the same effect as the Nymph Aura Volumer.
If you are into cute and girly products, Etude house products are definitely a must have.
I love how I instantly feel beautiful and pampered the second I step into Etude House. As a long time supporter of their BB (or CC) cream, I absolutely recommend it to anyone who is thinking of achieving flawless, smooth and silky skin with the aid of cosmetics. It's BB cream is easy to dispense, the amount you dispense is easily controllable, and the application is simple and fuss-free as every purchase comes with a complementary mini brush for you to swipe all over your face.
Don't underestimate this brush like i initially did, it really serves its purpose by providing a smoother application and more even tone! And for anyone out there who has dark eye bags like me, the mini brush makes concealing them eye bags a real pleasure. For people with oily skin, fear not, as this BB cream does not leave a sticky feel. I am extremely satisfied with the amount of coverage it gives, and how it literally makes my face shine after application.
If you are a Kpop fan, all the more you should try this out.
PINK! It just echoes throughout the store, bringing forth the only word that flashes across every new customer’s mind: CUTE. I’m a sucker for all things pink, so..
Anyway, Etude House, originating from Korea, houses many cosmetic and skincare products. They see to what every girl’s looking for in their perception of beauty! Prices are reasonable, making it a great place for affordable and good-quality products. Personally, I use their lip/cheek stains, their masks and their mineral-finish loose powder and I’ve yet to find something I dislike! Sometimes however, I get the occasional stare-down by their staffs. Most of them are young teenage girls and I guess they do get cranky quite often?
Other than getting spooked by their salesperson every once in awhile, I’ll give this store a 7.5/10!
I took a trip to Tampines 1's Etude House outlet after hearing the death of one of Glee's actors. Retail therapy.
And as a person who loves the affordability and quality of Korean beauty products (not the mention the cute designs), I love Etude House. Just on a side note, their lip tints have a bitter taste but is long lasting and their Sweet Recipe All Over Colour (2013 collection) is to-die-for.
However, my shopping experience in the Tampines 1 outlet was dampened by the dirty and sometimes unhygienic looking testers. The upkeep of the outlet has much room for improvement.
Having said that, the products I bought and brought home are clean, unopened and new, unlike the testers, and the girls mending the outlets are always ready to assist and promote.
So, despite the somewhat uninviting testers that are in plain view of customers, I still had a pleasant retail session. As for the therapy, I think it's going to take while for fans not to tear up whenever we see Finn gaze at Rachel.
Etude House is one of the known Korean cosmetic and skincare brands in Singapore. It is particularly popular especially amongst fans of the Korean entertainment industry as they normally have popular Korean stars as ambassadors of their products such as SHINee.
The concept of their store and products would generally appeal to the ladies the moment you stand outside the store due to the overwhelmingly use of the colour pink. The male population won’t be disappointed as well as they have a skincare line catered to them. Besides, you can always get a little something for your girlfriends or sisters with their gift packs. After all who can resist their sweet-smelling hand lotion or the different shades of lipstick colours ranging from a tone that screams demure to something sexy and alluring.
I am always up for trying new facial wash or any skincare products so Etude House is no exception. I have used their facial masks and am currently using one of their facial wash that is the Happy Essential Foam. It has a nice smell depending on the type of foam you choose but more importantly, I love how you do not need to squeeze that much of the product in order to form a nice lather for the whole face. Their facial masks are also affordable and good as it moisturizes the face and is not too watery/oily. I have tried facial masks from another brand which is too soaked which makes it very uncomfortable to use.
Overall, I am pleased with their skincare products. It does its job and at an affordable price so you don’t feel that pain of having to part with your money every time you need to get a new bottle of facial wash.
Etude house is not my cup of tea when I first passed by. It looks like another expensive Korean beauty shop that's going to burn a hole in my wallet with products not achieving what they promised. Probably their decorations just look so glamorous and expensive. Just a personal preference, I don't like promoters following me around while I'm checking on the shelves. I just felt that it's like an intrusion to my personal shopping space.
However, on one dreadful day, I have to wait for a friend. She was running late and since the nearest shop was Etude House, I decided to go in. One of the promoter gave me a warm smile and greeted me. In an instant, I'm warming up to her already. She don't appear like any of the SASAs' salesgirls. I'll review on that later. I checked at their prices and OMG, a cleanser for $7 plus? Lip and cheek tint for another $11. That is cheap. I spent like a $100 and I was so happy. They gave me free samples to try on at home too! Oh and they do give you free samples too even if you spent $10. Been in that situation. I swear by their products because I don't break out at any of their products despite of my sensitive dry skin. They recommended me suitable products and the packaging was so cute. They also don't bug me and I meant at every visit with different promoters. They give you space and only will respond when you asked them. If it's a new product they will explain a little bit and allow me to walk down the aisle, browsing through the shelves. How wonderful!
Their wonder pore works wonders for someone with an enlarged pore like me and prices are so reasonable!! Cleansers deliver their promises. I didn't try on any of their nail polishes though. I'll review on them again when I do. Hair range works amazing. Go in, take a look and have fun. You don't have to buy anything but their cute packaging will definitely lure you to lightly brush them with your fingertips while you browse. Walk out empty, they'll still give you a warmth smile unlike other beauty shops!
Pretty in pink- that is what comes to mind as one enters Etude House. The feminine surroundings in lace decals is reminiscent of a dollhouse. Although I'm not one for too much pink, the shop was tastefully decorated.
As recently I've been acquiring various nail polishes for nail art designs, I decided to check out the nearby etude house at NEX. The retail staff was friendly and attentive(which could be also due to the lack of customers in the store-however, the branch at vivo was pretty busy and yet a sales assistant approached me immediately) and I purchased a black nail art pen as well as Juicy Cocktail gradation nails in a shade of orange.
Their packaging is very attractive and caters to teenagers, and tie-ups with famous Korean actors will appeal to the fan girls at heart. I am a sucker for cute packaging, and with products shaped like owls and girly designs, it is almost reminiscent of the japanese kawaii fashion.
