This is definitely one of my favourite places to eat hotpot. What this shop serves is a grilled fish that has been marinated in a multitude of spices in hot pot with a special broth of your choice along with ingredients like beancurd skin, rice cake, fried potato slices, mushrooms and vegetables.
My favourite choice of broth is the spicy and numbing flavour, which is extremely tasty and flavourful, and while it is somewhat spicy, it also has a numbing effect, similar to what a mint does to your tongue. The fish is fresh and the add ons are excellent complements to the tasty hotpot.
They also serve other chinese dishes, such as sliced pork in garlic and beancurd with salted egg and prawns. My favourites are the above mentioned two along with the fried potato with meat which also has a spicy yet numbing aftertaste. This is an excellent place to try sichuan cuisine, though be prepared for a good wait during peak hours. Also, do order the wang lao ji herbal canned drink, which is very popular in places like Hong Kong and is an excellent thirst quencher.
