Be sure to order Laksa when you're at Good Morning Nanayang. It's clearly the best dish. Fresh prawns and cockles. Generous portion. Yep, pure bliss.
However, I can't say the same thing for their Mee Siam. It looks unappealing and it tastes too spicy and sour for my liking. My surest bet: Laksa. A set(including coffee, additional charge if change of drink) costs S$4++.
What I like about Good Morning Nanyang is that it feels as if I'm taking a walk down memory lane. Picture it. Imagine the 1950s-1960s of Singapore. Old clocks. Calendars. Vintage-looking plates and bowls. It feels as if I went back in time. And then I snapped out of it because I realised that the cafe's air-conditioned and there's a broadband right up the shelves.
Anyway, you will be given a number card for the ordering process. The waiting time's pretty fast, usually 5 minutes. Despite that most of the staff are in their fifties and sixties, they're pretty quick. There was a forgetful customer who left the cafe without taking her shopping bag. The staff kept it safe and returned to her when she came back looking for it.
