A brand who listens to her customers
Amber Avenue is one brand that strives to be at the forefront of local fashion. A while ago when playsuits and rompers were all the rage among Singaporean women, Amber Avenue was one of the few brands who churned out designs after designs in various cutting and prints to feed our insatiable desire for the one piece casual garment. The owner of Amber Avenue also puts herself in the shoes of her customers. Another design that was very popular some time ago was a lace cropped top from Topshop. Many local blogshops manufactured the exact piece, including the translucent back design that was not extremely well-received among some. Amber Avenue made the smart move of adding an extra lining at the back, and indeed, it was a sold-out item.
One area of improvement is the accuracy of measurements stated on the website. I once bought a playsuit from the shop. It has lovely prints! But unfortunately the sizing ran small so I had to give it away.
In recent collections, I noticed that the designs that they have are similar, sometimes even identical, to that of another local online retail store Love, Bonito, which in turn takes its design inspirations from high street brands such as Zara. What goes around, comes around!
