Your staple Instagramming tool
There are thousands of apps to help you get the perfect Instagram worthy post, however one of the most simple yet effective tools which every Instagrammer should have in their phone is Whitagram. Its main purpose is to make your landscape or portrait pictures into a square size, by filling in the extra space with a background, typically white but this can be altered to any of the colours which you pick. Not only this but you can edit the photo including its brightness and and by putting a frame around your photo.
Some complain about the app having glitches and exiting from it whilst it is still being used, but I have never had this issue and I’ve used it on everything from an iPhone 5 to a 6. It’s a pretty simple app, but it does the job every time. Although I always use it to create a new size for my photos, when it comes to editing the photo itself I always prefer to use rival apps such as VSCO Cam and Snapseed, purely because I find I have much more control over my photos when I use them and they give better results.
I got excited when I found the ability to put stickers and text over your pictures, however this was short lived when I found that you had to pay for both. Not only this, but for some of the editing features you also have to pay, when you can get the same for free on other apps. For me, Whitagram will only be used for its original purpose, nothing more and nothing less.
