Once in a lifetime experience

I was thrilled recently to be given the opportunity to drive a Ferrari, its not every day you get to drive a million dollars. To be honest I never thought it would be possible in my lifetime. Or at least not in Singapore.

The 15 to 60 minute drive will give you an out of this world high. From being escorted to your car as it proudly sits in the MBS driveway to having all eyes on you the moment you're behind the wheel. You get a glimpse into the life of superstar and feel the world is at your feet. And for the rides' duration, it is.

As you first step on the acceleration pedal, which is capable of going from 0-100 in 4 seconds, you feel an immense amount of power (and responsibility) in your hands. And when you see a clear road ahead and floor the pedal, you are suddenly thrust back into your seat by the g-forces that come to life. What a feeling! (cue theme song)

Another memorable part of my journey was when I signaled to turn right and to my amazement, the taxi driver behind me slowed down and gave me way. Something that has never happened before, EVER!

Its clear a lot of thought went into the conception of this experience. In their special customized recording of your experience they even have GPS and G-Force indications built into it.

When we were signing the guest book to share our experience, we came cross many entries by customers expressing their delight for the ride. The book was thick and seemed worn throughout the years. Some were long essays filled with appreciation while others were short and cute, asking them to "valet the car to my house" haha. What was shocking though was when we learned they had 7 of those books all filled up already!

Do note the experience is best had with the top down and wind in your face. So it is extremely important to check the weather. If it rains or if there is even the slightest possibility of it raining, its best to reschedule your appointment. You should also spend some time getting familiar with the signals before you start driving, the signals are located on different sides from Japanese cars. Practice before you move off. I didn't and was confused while driving halfway.
