Useful little store.

I visited them recently, when I was in need for some urgent ingredients. I was relieved that they had what I needed. Their salespeople were friendly enough and were also very helpful to me. It was gratifying to speak to people who knew all about their products, something uncommon these days.

The thing is that they do not have much else to offer in terms of accessories. I find that their product range slightly pales in comparison to Phoon Huat's offering. Where i can find molds and other assorted accessories at Phoon Huat, i'm limited to mainly ingredients at Kwong Cheong Thye.

Impressive range of ingredients!

Mooncake Festival is nearing! If you want to make mooncakes of your own but at an affordable price, why not come on down to Kwong Cheong Thye? This shop that occupies 2 shop spaces near the Aljunied mrt sells ingredients for any Asian baked goods which make shopping for these ingredients a lot more convenient since its all under one roof.

Since the mooncake festival is here, they ordered white lotus paste in bulk and even cut them into half for you if you prefer a smaller portion. My mother bought panda, durian and green tea lotus paste all in halved portions there. 1 half portion costs $7. They sell packet nuts in 100g in varying prices depending on the market price of the nuts. A pack of macadam nuts costs $4.20 and almonds costs $1.80. However, if you are looking for western culinary herbs, you should try NTUC instead. Happy Mooncake Festival!
