I'm quite appalled at the negativity of the reviews most users here have given to Botak Jones because of all the times I've had it, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! I've had it for around ten times at 3 different places in all. I usually frequent the one at a coffee shop at Bedok. The other two outlets I have frequented were the ones in Changi and Somerset.

I think that their service is better than many other western food stores such as Aston's; my orders are always pleasantly and patiently taken down and with a genuine smile. Even when I request for extra sauces etc to be brought after my food have arrived, the staff do it without complaints.

Must trys: Cajun Chicken
I extremely love this dish! It's true though that after a while it gets abit dry. But I think the cheese sizzled on it makes up for the dryness. You could also get a less dry side such as coleslaw.

Fish and Chips are good as well, my folks love it due to the lack of the fishiness. In addition, based on all the experiences my folks had while eating this, fish and chip portions from botaks are usually very big!

A must try side dish includes their Double baked cheese potato. In the past it was free and came along with a meal just like any side dish, but now if you were to choose that as sides you have to pay. It's worth a try though!! Extremely love this!! If there is only one thing you can have at Botaks, you HAVE to try this!!!!

I tried their Chocolate Sensation cake a year back, not fantastic or anything. I would recommend you to go elsewhere for desserts.

Last advice: if you frequent BJ often, do ask for their loyalty card. I don't think they would give it out till you ask for it.

Botak Jones started out famous, with lots of advertising which made me try out their food. Not only that, their dishes is affordable and also cheaper than other restaurants’ pricing! For some of their outlets (such as Orchard and Clementi), you may expect to wait a slightly longer time for your food to be ready due to the long order list. If you observed, majority of their outlets are near the heartlands of Singapore, which explains their cheap western food.

My all-time favorite would be their cajun chicken with sides of baked potato and cheese potato. The part of meat used for the cajun chicken is breast meat. However, with the sauce being eaten together with the meat, you can barely taste the dryness, but rather the infusion of both the sauce and meat being combined together. The baked potato is learnt from the Jacks Place style where there is cream sauce being put into the baked potato. For the cheese potato, you can taste the melted cheese along with the chunks of baked potato as it is being mixed perfectly together as you taste it.

In all, I would say that if you were to dine at Botak Jones, don't forget to try their cheese potato as they tend to run out before late night!

Botak Jones has a very wide range of dishes available. I have went to many different outlets, Depot Road, Boon Lay (sadly no longer there), Woodland, Balestier etc.

The idea of having great food at cheap prices at a coffeeshop, is a great idea since me, being a typical Singaporean, is always looking for lobangs. My favourite dishes at Botak Jones are the Cajun Chicken and the Ribeye steak.

The Cajun Chicken is very tender and tasty. The staff do not overcook it to the extent that it becomes very dry and hard to chew. It is always cook nicely with enough juices with every bit. The Ribeye steak is even more delicious, i usually go for medium rare and the staff really does it perfectly, not too much blood, just a little. There are many sides to choose from, including coleslaw, fries, corn and potatoes. There used to be more, but the choices had been cut down. Besides the main courses i mentioned, there are also soup, desserts, fish and chips, lamb chops, burgers and hot dogs to choose from.

And of course, the best thing about Botak Jones is the price. The cajun chicken is only less than $10, and the the ribeye is only about $16 inclusive of 2 sides of your choice. At the depot road branch, there is any a red wine counter. Imagine that, having a affordable full course dinner at a great price complete with wine
