The first time i had Nando's was with my mum and sis. We went to the outlet at Bugis Junction and it was packed with people. We were intrigued to explore the menu because i had heard good rumours about the place and they were also at that time, having a family set meal which was ranged from around $30+ to $50+. Since there were only the 3 of us, we took the family set for 2-3 people.

We were ushered in by a friendly waitress who had us seated comfortably at a table for four. Immediately our orders were taken and drinks were served (these drinks came with the set meal).

Surprisingly we didn't wait long before our food came. We had a huge bowl of fresh portuguese salad that came with a portuguese dressing. The salad was fresh & it was a refreshing change as compared to the usual Caesar salad almost every restaurant had but i would've loved it more if the dressing had more vinegar in it. I prefer french dressing. Call me biased but that's what i love my greens with! Small bowls of the potato salad (creamy and every potato chunk was perfectly coated with the mayo & sauce), peri-peri wedges (crispy and chunky tossed with peri-peri spicy powder), meditarranean rice (was too dry and definitely not something we would order again), 1/2 mild peri-peri chicken (not spicy) and 1/2 lemon & herb chicken (delicious).

The service was really, really good despite the huge crowd the restaurant had to handle. We were pleased with everything and the staff even had the initiative to split all the proportions of the food into 3 each time it was necessary because they knew we were sharing among ourselves. Best part was when we realized the set we ordered was supposed to have only 2 drinks, but they served us 3 glasses! That was a really sweet and unexpected gesture.

We left with a warm, full tummy and glowing with nothing but praises for their food and wonderful service.

The second time i visited Nando's was at the new outlet at JCube (Jurong East), this time with my friends. Food was so-so, service was horrible, most of the customers were left to their own devices and in a bad way. Also didn't like the fact that our view from the table was the ice-skating rink. Not my scene watching people fall while i eat my dinner. It might have been a laugh at other times! Simply put, we left sorely disappointed and vowing never to eat there again.

Such a contrast from the Bugis outlet. I must say that if you would want to try Nando's, go to the one at Bugis. Better quality, better service, staff, ambiance, just... better everything!

When I first went to Nandos, my friend was telling me about the warm water incident and I immediately had a bad impression of Nandos. A lot of my friends who've been there before have commented about how tasty the food is but it was a disappointment to me.

The chicken was just.. chicken. Without the sauce, there would be nothing special about it. It wasn't very cheap either and the portions are rather small. I would choose Astons over Nandos any time. Their sauces were also rather spicy and I couldn't take spice so the dining experience was rather unpleasant.

Perhaps Nandos could come up with some special sauces (other than tomato or chilli sauce because then I can cook up a Nandos meal at home too) to appeal to people who cannot take spice.

I had heard a lot about Nando's and was really looking forward to celebrating my classmate's birthday there last weekend. My first impression was that the ambience and atmosphere was suitable for a relaxed dinner and we had made the right choice. The menu seems quite inflexible to me though as all ten of us had to get the chicken ( which is what it's famous for in the first place). That did not go down well with some but we went ahead with it anyway. I loved the caesar and portuguese salads and the jug of citrus drink we had ordered. The chicken was too dry and definitely too spicy on its own so few of us dared to try the dangerous-looking sauces. Service was alright. I would rate it down for the food and the price we paid was also not justified.

Famous for their chicken, and being a chicken meat lover, I had high expectations from Nando's. Well, they serve rather large portions, and do have a variety of sauces, but unfortunately I cannot take spicy food so most of the sauces were out of the question for me. Faced with this setback, I nevertheless forged on with my decision to try Nando's. I ended up not really enjoying my dinner there as the chicken meat was just that little bit too dry for my liking, and I found it difficult to finish. When you pride yourself on your meat, you have to make sure your meat is perfectly cooked, and Nando's failed to accomplish that.

I love grilled chicken! I was pleased to know that Nandos have decided to branch out to Singapore as I loved their grilled chicken. Tried Nandos when I was overseas many years back and I had missed it so. Contrary to what most people order, I always ask for the breast portion as I do not think that it is too dry. After all they do have their lovely sauces on every table. I am a fan of all their sauces – from the non-spicy one to the spiciest option. Not ashamed to say, but I am able to use up to almost half of a bottle of sauce at each visit. If you love the spicy salty sauce as much as me, they do sell the bottled sauces. Other then chicken, their fries are really good too as they have a light coat of seasoning.

So far all my visits, I had experience good service although do be a bit patient when it comes to weekend especially during dinner time. I especially love the branch at Tanglin Mall as it is spacious and not as crowded as the other branches.

Nandos is still one of my favourite place when I am craving for chicken and a good serving of their sauces. Will definitely come back again ... and again.

Nandos is famous for their chicken where you can choose your own sauces and the level of spiciness in it. It was my first time there and I had to say that the whole decor of the place looks very convincing. The effort place into the decoration of the whole restaurant was highly evident.

We ordered a quarter of a chicken each and I chose the least spicy while my friend had a mid-spicy one. Mine was alright, nothing much to rave about. I was promptly disappointed because I had expected something much better. If the restaurant claims to specialize in chicken, then I believe I should be served a juicy and tasty chicken. Not a chicken that tasted like it came from a place with droughts all year round. I admit that it isn't easy to perfect a chicken, especially the chicken breast part, so I can forego that. But even the wing tasted dry to me. I didn't like it. My friend said that her spiciness was not enough for a spice lover like her, I think if you are really keen on trying something spicy, up the spice levels as I think they are pretty mild to start with.

For the price, I would not recommend this place for your chicken fix. The atmosphere is pretty good but when we go to a restaurant, I believe that we all want tasty food and not just a comfortable atmosphere. Of course, if a restaurant can do well in both aspects, then it would capture the customer's heart permanently.

I dined at Nando's at Jcube just this week on Monday. My friend urged me to try it as it has an interesting concept where you can choose the level of spiciness of your chicken.

The first impression I had of the restaurant was good. The design as ambience was all there and the menus looked different from each other with intricately penned playful graphic designs. The staff were also polite and responsive although they do not fill your cups for you out of initiative.

We both ordered a quarter chicken. I had the mild spicy one while my friend had the hot one.  Our food took about 10minutes to arrive so it wasn't a long wait. However, the food, despite looking quite delicious, tasted borderline. the mild spicy was as good as totally not spicy. In fact, the sauce was unevenly applied so when I ate the extremities of the chicken, like the skin off the bony end of the drumstick, it was so spicy! yet for the rest of the chicken, I tasted no spice at all.

We also tried all the sauces. Only the garlic sauce tasted normal to me. The rest were rather sour and strange but this could be my own personal preference.

I doubt I will dine here again.

I walked into Nando's with a certain level of expectation as it seemed like a rather promising restaurant. Unfortunately, it was not being met.

I ordered the Angry Mango Burger, which is basically a grilled chicken burger with diced mango. The chicken was fine, but I felt that the flavour of the mango overwhelmed the taste of the chicken. There was also too much mango topping, to a point where it constantly kept spilling out with every bite. The bun became soft due to the mango sauce and that is the one thing you never want to find in your burger - soggy bread.

The meal came with sides - I chose the coleslaw and fries. The fries tasted good, it was thick yet crispy at the same time. The coleslaw, however, was a bit too dry for my liking and was cut into pretty huge chunks. Given the option, I would have probably changed my coleslaw for the potato salad. I had a bite of my friend's and it tasted pretty decent.

The ambience of the restaurant was alright. It was pretty cramped during dinner hours but they somehow managed to make the place comfortable. The staff were also friendly and allowed us to change seats as it was too cold. Despite this, I would not recommend this place to anyone as I do not feel that the quality of the food justified the prices.

The first time I saw Nando's outlet was at Plaza SINGAPURA. I just passed by and never thought of dining in there ; until one day I told myself 'maybe I should try' because everyone is talking about its 'peri peri' which is the well known spices that they used in their cooking.

The moment my family and I stepped into the restaurant, the lady assisted us to our seats. Menu was given and we looked through the menu, confused. There are different kinds of side dishes all over the menu, with chicken as the main dish.

As it was our first time dining in there, we had no idea how the menu works so we asked for assistance from one of the staff. She was very friendly and she explained how the main dish and side dishes go together. On top of that, we can choose the level of the spiciness of the Peri peri.

So basically, the main dish is roasted chicken, you can choose how much chicken you want and in addition, 2 side dishes per person. Yes, rather confusing when looking from the menu.

I was also surprised that they did not serve any plain water because I feel that it is quite decent to serve water as complimentary drink because the food is quite spicy.

The pricing is fine to me, it ranges from $20 and above per person, depending on any additional ala carte ordered. I would not mind patronizing this restaurant again because the food is still great.
But it will be great if they could serve water as a compliment to the diners.

The first time I went to Nando's is my last time. It was last year, when there was so much buzz about the newly opened Nando's at Plaza Singapura. There was simply a long queue outside it and my friend and I went with the flow. It turned out to be the most not-worthy $14 chicken (and it's only one eighth of the chicken, not even a quarter!) The chicken taste just like other chicken, it's just the sauce, and only the sauce. Okay, great, there are 4 different sauces, like the Peri-peri..so what? I am not there to eat just the sauce. On top of that, the sauce is not especially good. I would prefer fast food type of chili!

The service is also disappointing. We ordered for good half an hour before the food came. Not just that! The order was a bit different! I ordered A, they gave me B. It took a total of 45 minutes before I could enjoy my dinner! I was especially disappointed with Nando's cashier also. it took me a good 6 minutes standing in front of cashier without anybody attending. They kept asking me 'please wait' while the cashier went out to serve other customers. I was supposed to pay by nets, that's why I had to wait until the cashier came back to attend to me.

Overall, my experience with Nando's was not sweet at all. It could be different for others, but as for me, I would certainly object strongly to Nando's!
