Exotic Trips Made Easy
“The world is a book and those who don’t travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine
As a child I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to different cities, thanks to my mother’s numerous business trips. Things were much easier then, as the itineraries were planned and all we had to do was tag along.
As I grew up and slowly started travelling on my own, I realised the struggles in planning a fruitful holiday. Planning a trip’s itinerary can be such a hassle, especially when you’re intending to go to lesser-known places. More often than not, I find myself rummaging through the internet for the best travel deals, often opening so many tabs that I lose sight of which ones I need.
Recently, I attempted to plan for my next trip abroad and found three less frequently visited places you could easily plan a trip to.
Comparing Packages from Singapore
Singaporeans love their beach vacays, but we’re often limited to the shores of neighbours Malaysia and Thailand, or perhaps Maldives. Try taking it up a (big) notch and head to Anguilla, one of the best beach destinations in the Caribbean.
While you’re there, spend some time discovering secret coves and beaches, snorkel amongst marine life in pristine, turquoise waters at St Maarten or swim with dolphins at Dolphin Discovery. If you ask me, I’ll gladly make time for all.
Bordered by China, India, Nepal and Tibet, The Kingdom of Bhutan has one of the fewest visitors in the world. As such, it remains one of the world’s unexplored gems with most of the place left relatively untouched.
Despite widespread illiteracy and poverty, Bhutan is known for being the happiest country in Asia and eighth happiest nation in the world. You can be a happy tourist too, with its endless hiking possibilities along Thimpu, spectacular scenery from the valley of Phobjika and an abundance of the Buddhist culture at its many monasteries.

The Land of Fire and Ice is more than Northern Lights. In fact, Iceland’s slew of attractions are paradoxical with most of them made possible by natural phenomena such as glaciers, bubbling hot springs, geothermal spas and volcanoes.
The famous Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland’s highlights, earning its name with high levels of minerals, silica and algae giving it its vibrant blue hue. Apart from that, Iceland’s also known for whale-watching and its rich culture, with plenty of architecture dating back to 9 centuries ago.
