Commuters on the East-West and North-South MRT lines, keep an eye out for special World Cup-themed cabins on your way to work. Rexona has spruced up certain locomotives on both the green and red lines, turning them into Coolest Football Moments Museum Trains. You’ll be able to hitch a ride on them from now till 19th July 2026.
Each cabin is themed and decorated after a nation participating in the World Cup. For instance, Argentina’s blue and white and Brazil’s yellow and green are splashed across the floors, walls, and seats. Avert your gaze upwards, and you’ll catch a glimpse of iconic World Cup epics from the past; perhaps a glimpse into the drama that’s to unfold in the upcoming one.
Of course, there’s also a cabin dedicated to The Lions, Singapore’s very own national team. Dressed in eye-catching red, this one’s sure to hit commuters with a wave of patriotism well before National Day arrives. For something to keep yourself busy with during your train rides, scan the QR codes around the cabins to take part in a football trivia; submit your results, and you just might win tickets to watch the World Cup itself.
The opportunity to proclaim our brazen passion for football only comes once every 4 years, so take this chance to celebrate the World Cup season with family and friends alike. You’ve got to admit, even if you’re not a fan, the infectious energy of fans islandwide can get you chanting along once the vibes reach a fever pitch sometime in June.
