As someone who’s been surviving on the Shirt-Jeans-Sneakers combo all my life, it’s about time to break out of my shell. And if today’s fashion trends have taught me anything, it’s that streetwear is the way to go.
VivoCity has gotten the memo too – it’s spankin’ new Basement 1 extension comes with several new additions spanning across fashion and lifestyle, including stores like New Era, FILA, and adidas.
The TSL crew headed down to check it out – and sneak in some stylo-milo pics – here are our fave picks:
If getting a New Era cap has you feeling like Charlie scoring a golden ticket, here’s Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory itself: New Era’s first ever flagship store in Singapore, right here in VivoCity.
We’ve seen these caps floating on heads all around us growing up, embroidered with logos of sports teams like the New York Yankees or crests of our fave Marvel superheroes. Fans can now treat themselves to an extensive selection of designs, inspired by various films, comics, and music brands.
Talk about a blast to the past – we had to try on the Ultraman Neos Cap ($69).
Get items like hoodies, T-shirts, and bags here too!

I’m a collector of many things. Coins. Stamps. Sneakers… *cue Mom screaming @ my overflowing shoe cabinet*
Welcome one and all to the sneakerhead’s playground – L.E. Underground.
Shaped like the tunnels of the London Underground, L.E. Underground is exactly what I’d imagine a perfect walk-in shoe closet to be. Plus, this cornucopia of shoes stocks the biggest selection of sneakers in a single store anywhere in Singapore.
We’re talking streetwear classics like Vans and Converse, to sportier brands like Reebok, Puma, and Onitsuka Tiger.

World Cup 2018 is a wave that’s just washed all over us, leaving football fans all around SG shooketh with anticipation. If you’re someone who has got to get your hands on your favourite team’s kit – winners or not – Weston Corp is the place to go. The store houses jerseys from homegrown teams of the Singapore Premier League too!
Real Madrid C.F. represent (Jersey, $132, U.P. $160)
VivoCity’s branch is Weston Corp’s biggest outlet to date and has the widest range of football jerseys in Asia. It also offers jersey customisation services – there’s a gift idea for the most dedicated fan you know.
Hint hint: It’s Premier League season! 😉
Aside from football kits, customers can get sports accessories like socks, guards, and boots here.

Here’s your go-to for that 90s street-style aesthetic
One swift scroll through Instagram’s Explore page and chances are, you’re probably going to spot someone rocking an outfit from FILA. And as a 90s kid, seeing classic names from the early 2000s’ fashion scene make a comeback makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.
We couldn’t help having a mini photoshoot – here’s Kelvin sporting a stylish Woven Jacket ($278), which comes with a matching bucket hat ($78)
FILA Baseball Cap ($78) and Sweatshirt ($128)
FILA @ VivoCity houses 3 concepts: FILA, FILA KIDS, and the all-new FILA FUSION. If you’ve always wanted to jump on the athleisure train, this collection will up your streetwear cred – and prep you for some sick IG shots while you’re at it.

The brand with the 3 stripes is adding new flavour to VivoCity with it’s latest concept store – adidas, which focuses on sports and performance wear.
Our favourite part was the in-store experience for sure – the shoes were arranged to look like steps in a stadium’s seating area, and the fitting rooms resembled locker rooms with wooden panelling and benches.
Kelvin wearing the adidas Atric Lite Jacket ($340) and Atric Five-Panel Cap ($40)
Once you’re done stocking up on activewear, just hop on over to adidas Originals’ flagship store that’s right across. This space takes on more of an urban appeal, featuring pieces that keep up with the latest street fashion trends.
Both stores will also be having monthly product launches and an extended range for children’s wear and women’s apparel.

Additionally, shoppers who shop and spend at the new retail extension can redeem $10 Mapletree vouchers with a minimum spending of $100*, and an additional REWARD$* for Vivo Rewards members during the 1-month promo period.
