Mid-Autumn Festival is here once more, and the festivities wouldn’t be complete without loads of dazzling lights and colourful splendour. VivoCity’s Curious Adventures in Wonderland is giving the traditional occasion a whimsical spin with a larger-than-life light-up event. Held at the mall’s Level 3 Sky Park from now till 22nd September 2019, expect to find loads of whimsical icons you know and love inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
Make sure to check out the TANGS Mid-Autumn Fair as well, happening from now till 13th September 2019 with over 40 different brands of mooncakes, lanterns and teas on offer to complete the Mid-Autumn experience.
Explore 5 different whimsical zones as part of the VivoCity’s Curious Adventures in Wonderland exhibit, each providing enchanting new backdrops and interactive accompaniments for priceless photo ops. The stunning set-up is quite a sight to behold, especially post-sundown when the decor twinkles against the evening sky.
The tale of Alice in Wonderland begins when the curious lass follows a rabbit a little too closely and descends upon a rabbit hole as a result, unlocking a world of mind-bending adventure.
Similarly, your journey across this exhibit starts by coursing through a tunnel of glittering lights Down the Rabbit Hole. The warped structure gives the illusion that the tunnel is shrinking while you morph into oversized proportions…Be warned! It can get pretty trippy in there.
Savour an absolute feast for the eyes at A Mad Tea Party, meticulously furnished with beautiful tea cups and sweet treats, completed by rows of lanterns hanging above in all shades of the rainbow.
The unique set-up allows you to pull out a chair to strike a truly unconventional OOTD pose.
No more stiff, standing straight and facing the camera shots. Work your angles at this extensive zone and make Tyra Banks proud.
As a kid, one of the most memorable chapters was when the Playing Card Soldiers made their grand appearance to usher in Her Royal Highness, a.k.a the Queen of Hearts.
Coursing through the 40-metre long Tunnel of Soldiers is like a childhood dream come true, where you’ll get to pose alongside the various “Card Soldiers” with a sea of crimson roses and twinkling fairy lights in the background.
The rooftop wading pools at VivoCity’s Sky Park are arguably the most recognisable features of the sprawling mall. Much to the delight of both children and the young at heart, part of the wading pool will be transformed into a pool of card soldiers.
Marvel at the sight of Card Soldiers taking over the wading pool, surrounded by bright and colourful lanterns floating delicately for maximum Mid-Autumn Festival vibes.
Cap off your magical journey with a visit to The Queen’s Castle. As you’d imagine, the 10-metre tall castle is overflowing with grandeur, fully decked out with IG-worthy heart and flower motifs.
Snap a couple of shots next to a display of the Red Queen herself, dressed to the nines and looking so utterly fabulous, we almost feel a tad unworthy of being in her midst. Pssst…if you were looking to head out in an unabashedly spoil-market outfit, here’s the perfect opportunity to not feel overdressed!
Come full circle and complete your Mid-Autumn experience at the TANGS Mid-Autumn Fair happening at Level 1 Central Court from now till 13th September 2019. Expect more than 40 different brands including all-time favourites like Peach Garden, Peony Jade, Goodwood Park Hotel and Mandarin Oriental Singapore.
