NomadX Has New Themed Pop-Ups Like Arcade Machines & A Beauty Bar That Let You Buy Exclusive Online Brands

New experiential concepts at NomadX

With its convenience and sheer variety, some might say that online shopping is one of the best things created. Sometimes, though, you’ve bought a ton of pretty-looking clothes online, but it just doesn’t look like what you imagined it to be.

Here’s where NomadX comes in. Nestled in Plaza Singapura, the multi-label concept store lets you try and test out exclusive online products IRL, and you can easily scan a QR code to buy it on the NomadX website instantly!

More good news: the space just got a fresh revamp with pop-up stores and showrooming displays – all in vibrant, aesthetically-pleasing set-ups that’s sure to add a splash of colour to your IG feed.

Between the shopping, photo-taking, and snacking, here’s how you can spend hours at this retail wonderland

P.S. Use the promo code NMDX20OFF to get $20 off with a minimum spend of $50 at NomadX.sg

1. Find out your shopping profile and get recommendations based on that

Potterheads would be familiar with sorting, and at NomadX, the idea’s no different. Upon stepping inside, head over to one of these booths – take a selfie before proceeding with a mini quiz that will put you into your respective “tribe” – aka shopping persona.

Expect a Buzzfeed-like quiz that will sort you into shopping personalities like the trendy “Wind” tribe or the practical “Mountain” tribe.

This interactive directory will give you shopping recommendations based on your given tribe.

Bonus: If you’re a CapitaStar member, a simple check-in here will net you some STAR$, which you can then use to redeem a bunch of in-mall deals or CapitaLand vouchers. New sign ups will also get to enjoy 500 STAR$ with promo code “SHIOKNESS”.

2. Shop online through unusual setups like arcade game booths and suitcases

Photogenic set-ups can elevate your shopping experience to the next level, and with NomadX’s products lined up in unique-looking set-ups like arcade machines and suitcases, you’ll want to stop for a moment to snap a photo or two.

You’ll find an assortment of items tucked away inside rows of neon arcade machines that’d look right at home on Riverdale. Look out for brands like Bells & Birds, which offers uber-feminine sleepwear and loungewear with plenty of laces and silks, or Ans.ein – known for their batik and locally-inspired collections.

K-beauty fans are also in for a treat, with My Beauty Moments bringing in well known cult-faves like the minimalist skincare line Cosrx, and the vegan, cruelty-free Klairs which uses simple ingredients to solve your skin woes.

If any of the items catch your eye, just scan its QR code and the Nomadx.sg website will pop up!. All the relevant product details will be pulled up, and you can just add it to your digital cart for hands free shopping. Now all you’ve to do is sit back and relax as your products will be delivered straight to your doorstep.

Besides the replica arcade booths, there’s even an actual retro arcade game machine from Retrocade for you to play with.

These aren’t the only eye-catching set-ups. You’ll also find colourful suitcase-like displays that house a bevy of collectibles and household items at Level 1.

These include drip coffee products from Hook Coffee, as well as Harry Potter-themed merchandise such as coasters and House-themed tote bags that you can purchase to fly your house’s flag high.

Harry Potter-themed collectibles like a Dobby passport holder and a Harry plushie!

3. Step into a super #aesthetic nail and beauty salon

Even the most intense shopaholics need a place to take a break every now and then, and with booths that look like actual beauty salons, you’ll have the chance to soak in some much-needed chill vibes.

For the freshest nail polish colours, swing by this nail salon-like booth by Nail Deck, which will have you feelin’ all chill with beanbags and a dressing table artfully laid out with colourful bottles of polish.

Simply place a nail polish bottle on the sensor, and all its product details will pop up on an interactive TV!

The cruelty-free brand has a wide array of gorgeous tones with quirky names such as “Teh Peng”, “Netflix & Chilli” and even one inspired by hawker dish “Chai Po”. Plus, you can even get your hands on a lacquer kit to DIY your own one-of-a-kind shade!

Pop by this “beauty bar” too, where you can glam it up like a Hollywood star with mirrors adorned with bright lights. Here, browse through items like the Celluna Sun Fighter sunscreen, which aims to give you a brighter, yet natural look as you ward off sun damage, aromatic oils from Spatulaworks or even Vitamin shower filters from Vitaspa to keep your skin moisturised and smelling oh-so-good.

4. Enter a ‘provision shop’ and try out old-school streetwear

Set up like an old-school shop complete with calendars and mahjong tables, The Lucky Shop lets you delve into the world of vintage streetwear. Expect an array of hipster clothes that will add a touch of eclecticism to any wardrobe.

Pick up a cool tee or accessories with quirky Lord Nermal cat designs!

You’ll need some fuel to power you through a day of shopping, and for a quick sugar rush, swing by the Annette ice cream truck that’s right beside The Lucky Shop.

Here, you can take your pick from popsicles that are almost too pretty to be eaten. Each popsicle costs $6, and between flavours like Cool Cat Coconut and Chocolate Decadence, you can give yourself a sugar boost for a second round of retail therapy.

5. Try a wide variety of clothes out – even with a smart mirror

Fashionistas, you’ll be spoilt for choice here with finds that are not your cookie-cutter blogshop style. Take for instance Modparade, a Singaporean brand with bright 60s-inspired clothes for women.

And it’s not just fashion for adults, either – stores like Roses & Rhinos feature clothes with bold prints and cute badges for your kids. Talk about a way to make your kiddo stand out from the crowd.

Some of us may feel too shy to approach a salesperson for help, but the presence of the Smart Mirror here removes any need for that.

Let’s say you want to know more about this red August Midi Dress from sustainable fashion brand Qlothe – just scan the QR code at the Smart Mirror, and voila! The mirror will pull up all the relevant info.

We chose this classic red dress out of the Qlothe collection which boasted clean silhouettes in wearable colours.

Of course, it’s still a mirror, so you can switch it to the Mirror Mode if you simply want to see if it looks good on you.

Drop by NomadX for new shops and experiences

With these new stores, you’ll never run out of things to shop for at NomadX. Besides the brands mentioned, there’s also sneakerhead-favourite DistriSneaks, fragrance customiser Oo La Lab, and popular electronics brand JBL. Best thing is, they’re housed in picture-friendly set-ups that are worth a feature on the ‘Gram.

If surprises are your thing, you might also consider the Mystery Bag. Priced at $30 each, the bag comes in either pink or green totes that are chock full of NomadX products worth $100.

With a considerable number of brands, this is a place where you can literally shop ‘til you drop. Besides, you can browse 24/7 on the online website and earn STAR$ while making your purchases! Now’s the time to go wild, because you’ll get to enjoy $20 off a minimum $50 spend with the promo code NMDX20OFF from now till 15 September.

Happy shopping everyone!
