As we inch closer to the year end, that can only mean one thing – Christmas season is fast approaching. While we break out the Christmas decorations and plan out our party outfits, ‘tis also a good opportunity to celebrate the spirit of giving. For lost birds who don’t know where to start, UOL Malls are offering ways for you to give back this year end.
From a charity sale to donation pledges, options are aplenty for those wishing to do good. Families with kiddos can also check out the exciting carnivals and DIY workshops for a jolly good time. Here’s what you can expect this festive season:

If you’ve got little ones exploding with energy, you’ll want to check out the Let’s Play Carnival at KINEX from 25th November to 4th December 2022. Featuring a giant trampoline by JUMPRROCKS, this funhouse lets kids bounce till their hearts’ content. To redeem the entry pass for 10 minutes of play, simply sign up to be a U-POPP member and spend $60 at the mall.

Nimble and agile folk can head to Velocity and test your footwork at Kickoff@Velocity, happening from 2nd-25th December 2022.
Here, you’ll find a total of 3 games, one of them being Subsoccer. It’s similar to football, but with a twist: players will be sitting atop the bench cum goal, so your mobility will be put to the test.
There’s also the life-size Snook Soccer which combines pool and football. Instead of potting the pool balls with a cue stick, players now become the equipment and have to kick the balls into any of the six pockets. But if you’re more skillful with your hands, go for Grab Soccer and test your reflexes by catching the falling footballs.
To play, redeem 2 entry passes and a free set of gift wrapper when you spend $70 ($50 for U-POPP members) at the mall. You’ll want to shoot your best shot at all 3 games as those who complete and win everything will walk away with a mystery prize.

Those who’ve always felt guilty about being a spendthrift will be glad to know that the U-POPP Charity Sale is the perfect excuse to go shopping. Happening from 14th November to 11th December 2022, this charity sale will donate all proceeds to Community Chest – so you know your money’s truly well spent.
Expect brands like Apple, Dyson, and Samsung which can be found at the charity sale via the U-POPP Mobile App. The list of items will be updated every Monday, and U-POPP members can redeem a chance to purchase products by using 20 POPPoints. The cherry on top – or the star on the Christmas tree – is that you can get up to 50% off your purchases.
Christmas Trees are located at KINEX Main Atrium, and the Customer Service Counter at United Square and Velocity.
Or, shop for others with the Make a Wish Come True event under the UOL Gives Back campaign happening from 14th November to 11th December 2022. The mechanics are simple – choose a gift tag from the Christmas Tree and purchase the respective gift. Then, pass the gift with the gift tag to the respective mall’s customer service by 11th December 2022.
You can also pledge a donation of $30 or $50 cash via the Community Chest website from 14th November to 25th December 2022. All pledges and gifts will go to Community Chest to aid carers from Art:Dis Singapore, AWWA, and Care Corner Singapore, and students from underprivileged families under the Extra•Ordinary People Financial Scheme respectively.
U-POPP members also have the option to donate $5 to Community Chest with 200 POPPoints via the U-POPP Mobile App Rewards Catalogue.
Shopaholics, now’s the time to let loose and fill your shopping basket to the brim. With every $70 spent ($50 for U-POPP members), you can take home a set of gift wrappers that’ll come in handy for the Christmas season. Top up your spending to hit $250 ($200 for U-POPP members) to get a set of glass condiment holders too.
You can also redeem a cosy 2-in-1 cushion blanket alongside the gift wrappers – it’ll be yours with a minimum spend of $400 ($350 for U-POPP members). U-POPP members can also score $5 or $10 UOL e-vouchers when they spend more than $200 or $350 respectively with select credit cards, and 1 hour free parking when a minimum of $30 is spent.
As Andy Williams sings, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year”. All’s bright and merry whenever Christmas comes around, with lively carnivals and roving adorable mascots. And with promotions and goodies galore at the UOL Malls, it’s truly the best time to treat yourself and others to a couple of prezzies this year end.
