Some of you may have realised we’re partnered up with Yahoo Singapore and Singtel’s Mobile News App, Newsloop to distribute our content. Our content appears on their portals and the goal of these partnerships is to have our content read by a wider audience we don’t normally reach.
Today, we’re excited to announce two more content partnerships with fellow Singapore media start-up companies we really like – VulcanPost and MoneySmart! We’ve been enjoying their content for a while now and feel a partnership between us would help give readers more good content to read on both sides.
So unlike our Yahoo or NewsLoop partnership which is more of a one-way thing where they just share our content, you will be seeing us share some of the best posts from VulcanPost and MoneySmart each week.
VulcanPost was started by JackyYap who used to spearhead content at local tech site e27, being responsible for their most read content. VulcanPost had their first post published barley a year ago in August 2013 and they have been growing at a tremendous rate since then.
They focus on the latest lifestyle technology news and I love how they have made tech accessible and relevant to a mainstream audience. A recent popular article by them was “Billionaire Jack Ma teaches you how to be successful in life and business“.
They also started a video series featuring cool office spaces in Singapore. I believe it was partly inspired by the office tour we did at Viki a while back! You can check out their latest episode featuring the TripAdvisor Singapore office below.
MoneySmart started by serial entrepreneur Vinod Nair who coincidentally was the co-founder of e27 and a former Stanford University Alumni.
MoneySmart is a financing site that offers information and comparisons on where to get the best loans, insurance and credit cards in Singapore. They made themselves relevant to a younger generation by regularly creating helpful content related to saving money.
An example of this is “5 Flight Booking Hacks That Airlines Don’t Want You to Know About.“
Over the coming months, we will be looking to partner up with a few more new media companies that fit in well with our company. Apart from having more good content from our partners on our site, we will also be able to widely disseminate our content across different networks, reaching many more readers from a single point.
