We hope you ain’t putting money on the yearly April Fool ads, which are little gags to promote fake products or promos. Well, except for the free croissants promo that Tiong Bahru Bakery is holding – that’s real.
The bakery and cafe chain is giving out 7 free croissants per customer when you buy a beverage from 10am to 6pm on 1st April 2023. It sounds too good to be true, but it is. Here are the deets.
April Fools’ is about to be dangerous for your diet. On Saturday, 1st April, all 12 Tiong Bahru Bakery outlets will be celebrating the biggest troll holiday of the year by handing out free classic croissants from 10am to 6pm. Simply purchase a drink and tell the barista, “I heard a rumour that I can get free croissants for a week”, and you’ll receive a stamp card.
Each card can be used to redeem up to 2 croissants per outlet that you visit on any given day. Since there’s no limit to how many drinks you can buy, feel free to go all out, get a bunch of stamp cards, and redeem as many free croissants as possible.
For instance, buying 5 drinks will earn you 5 stamp cards, allowing you to redeem a total of 35 croissants. But hurry, you have until 30th April to secure all of them.

Now, when it comes to croissants, not a lot of places can do it like Tiong Bahru Bakery. Made with 100% French butter and flour, the Parisian pastries here are fluffy and flaky in all the right places. Rest assured that you’re not biting on stale goods as they’re baked fresh in-house every 2 hours, and go pretty well with a long black, flat white, teh tarik, or hojicha latte.
Mark our words: there are only treats and no tricks at Tiong Bahru Bakery this April Fools.
With such an attractive freebie promo, we have a feeling it’s going to get very busy. So grab your crew, show up early, and get ready to be fed and fuelled. The offer is valid islandwide on 1st April, from 10am-6pm.
