AFA 2025 was just last week, yet another hobby-related convention is barrelling our way. This weekend, Singapore Comic Con 2025 will be taking over the Sands Expo & Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands, making it a perfect space for comic fans, cosplayers, and merch collectors to mingle with one another.
As usual, the Main Stage will wow convention goers with spectacular live performances, including a cosplay competition, music performances, and even an appearance from Kpop Demon Hunters’ HUNTR/X trio. Show some love for our local music scene at the Sing60 Music Festival this weekend. Taking place at Fort Canning Park, this 2-day-long celebration of homegrown talents will feature a star-studded lineup which includes the likes of Benjamin Kheng, Charlie Lim, Iman Fandi, and Shye just to name a few.
Happening concurrently with the live performances are underground – both figuratively and literally – DJ sets held in Battlebox. Here, booming beats will reverberate off the old WW2 bunker’s wall, supplied by acts from Daryl Knows, Mako, Ferng, and Jean Reiki. Tickets are going for $40, but you can use your SG Culture Pass Credits to pay for admission as well.

For those who can’t resist the golden allure of a freshly-poured pint, LeVeL 33 is where you’d wanna spend your Sunday afternoon at. Touted as the world’s highest microbrewery in a building, LeVeL 33 is celebrating their 15th Anniversary on 7th December 2025, and everyone, especially the beer-loving crowd, is invited.
To commemorate the momentous occasion, from 12pm to 4pm, guests can enjoy complimentary free-flow house-brewed beers, and all the establishment’s dishes and cocktails will start from just $15. Whenever Christmas rolls around, you can bet there’s much festive cheer to be had at Gardens by the Bay. This Yuletide, they’ve partnered up with LEGO to give us a playful take on their annual Christmas Train Show. For starters, step into the Flower Dome, and you’ll be greeted by an impressive 4.5m-tall Christmas tree built with over 100,000 LEGO bricks.
Of course, you’ll also get to see miniature train models chugging along amidst the vibrant flora, in an intricate LEGO rendition of Nyhavn Street – a nod to the toy brand’s Danish roots.
On Fridays to Sundays only, little ones who want to get hands-on with the brick-building fun can swing by the giant LEGO gingerbread house, where they can put together festive designs to adorn the house. Similarly, they can have a go at constructing a LEGO heart at the Build To Give corner.

If you’re fascinated with prehistoric beasts of the past, swing by the Dinosaurs | Extinctions | Us exhibition at Science Centre Singapore. You’ll get to walk under the towering life-sized casts of some of the largest land animals to ever walk the earth, such as the 40m-long Patagotitan Mayorum which weighs as much as 10 elephants.
Of course, you’ll also get to strike a pose beside iconic dinos like the Torosaurus and T-Rex, and don’t miss out on the closing gallery by the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, which highlights species that once lived right here in Singapore.
There’s also 4 stamping stations to stop by for a cool memento, interactive digital projection installations to play around with, and a mini excavation site where you can dig around for fossils. If your little one is an avid PAW Patrol viewer, swing by City Square Mall to catch the pups in person. The mall is playing host to the PAW Patrol Wonderland Adventure and Interactive Experience this holiday season, and there’s a flurry of pup-tastic activities to check out as well as freebies to walk home with.
For starters, spend $80 within the mall to redeem a PAW Patrol Adventure Kit that consists of a collectible card, of which there are 6 designs plus a secret edition card to collect, and a stamping postcard. The Christmas Wonderland installations over at Gardens by the Bay are a mainstay during holiday season on the Little Red Dot, and this year’s no different. You literally can’t miss the 20m-tall Spalliera light display that’s crafted by the masterful hands of artisans from Italy; step into it during the Blizzard Time show, and you’ll be showered with faux snow accompanied by Christmas melodies.

Another highlight to swing by is the 50m-long Merry Lane, which is made out of 50,000 LED light bulbs that pulse in colour beautifully. Overhead, a Flying Santa display periodically soars above The Meadow, making a stop at Reindeer Town afterwards to greet the crowds. There’ll also be festive performances on-site to tune in to, along with carnival games and rides to delight the little ones.

Dubbed Singapore’s largest indoor nature-inspired playground, just one look at the new Curiosity Cove at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, and your active little one is sure to burst into fits of excitement.
It’s split into 4 interactive play zones, each themed after different biomes; for instance, the Wetlands zone has a mesmerising wall display where kids can gaze at various marine life swimming by. At the Forestlands, there are treetop-mimicking platforms connected by cargo nets for children to scale, while the Drylands section has craggy slopes to clamber over, as well as a giant snake belly to climb to explore.

The Singapore Cable Car’s receiving a makeover this holiday season with their new Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure campaign. They’ve decked out both the interior and exterior of their cabins with 5 different Pokémon-themed designs, featuring fan-favourites like Pikachu, Eevee, and Charmander.
Each ticket comes with a complimentary Pikachu sun visor too. But when the sun’s down and you board the cable car at 7.45pm, you’ll be given a UV torchlight to reveal even more hidden Pokémon on the cabin’s ceiling.
There are also adorable photo ops at Mount Faber Peak, so feel free to snap away with the Pokémon companions here, set against the backdrop of scenic hilltop views. Don’t leave without a memento either; we spotted merch like glow-in-the-dark t-shirts (from $29), trading cards (from $6.90), and DIY keychains (from $15) all up for grabs.

We’ve still got a week before we’re whisked away to the Land of Oz for the movie premiere of Wicked: For Good, but you can get a sneak peek beforehand at Resorts World Sentosa. The island has been blessed with a magical makeover, and it now sports 6 limited-time Wicked-themed installations between the Resorts World Station and Imbiah Station on the Sentosa Express.
These picturesque photo spots include Glinda’s Bubble, a life-sized replica of the bubble from the film which served as Glinda’s main mode of transport. Further down the Yellow Brick Road, which also has been faithfully recreated for all to trot on, stands a 9m-tall structure of Elphaba’s Hat – it even glows in mysterious green at 6pm daily, alongside the other installations.
You’ll also want to tune in for the stunning light shows over at the Emerald City installation at RWS’ Lake of Dreams, and snap a picture when you pop by the photobooths nearby. Meanwhile, Universal Studios Singapore ticket holders will be in for the full Wicked: For Good experience. Expect photo ops with Glinda and Elphie themselves, roaming Ozians, and even pink and green-hued food to stay in theme.

Even if you’re not jetting off for a year-end vacation, there’s still another reason to swing by Changi Airport. The Changi Festive Village 2025’s here for yet another round of holiday festivities, and this year, Mickey and friends will be greeting all who make their way to the various airport terminals and Changi Airport Jewel.
Some highlights to look forward to include striking a pose with Flounder and Sebastian in Ariel’s Clam, waving hi to Finding Nemo’s fish tank-escaping crew, and a statue of Moana who stands tall and proud.
There’s also a 16m-tall Christmas Tree at the entrance of the Forest Valley in Changi Airport Jewel to marvel at, but before you up and go, try your hand at the carnival games over at T3. Here, there’s also the Stitch Ohana Grill pop-up that’s perfect for kids; they’ll get to customise their own Disney Cruise Line-themed travel journey, tote bag, or mug from scratch.

If you prefer to keep your activities indoors, you can instead head to the Star Wars Pop-Up Library that has been set up at Changi Airport Terminal 3. This mini library is sure to catch the eye of longtime fans of the iconic sci-fi media franchise with its futuristic blue hue emanating from the light sabers mounted on the walls.
Younglings and adults alike are invited to borrow Star Wars-related reads from its extensive inventory of over 2,000 books by interacting with an automated robot librarian. There are also a few cutouts of fan-favourite characters like C3PO and R2-D2 to snap pics with, and personality quizzes and trivia challenges to take to see if you’ve the force within you or not.

To nurture the next generation of filmmakers, the *SCAPE Film Facilitation Programme pairs budding directors with industry veterans. There’ll be a showcase of the films by this year’s mentees held at *SCAPE, Fresh Meat Vol. 2. You’ll get to see short films crafted by 6 up-and-coming filmmakers and watch how they’ve expressed their unique artistic visions on screen.

A visual feast for your senses awaits at GROUNDSEESAW’s Alice: Into the New World exhibition. Launching this Friday, this trippy number is themed after the whimsical cult classic that is Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
The kid-friendly exhibition will sport unique 5-sided screen setups that provide an especially immersive experience, as the 6m-tall screens glow and pulse beneath your feet. Familiar callbacks to the iconic film and novel include flittering playing cards, huge chess pieces, and an invitation to the Mad Hatter’s chaotic tea party.

Freshly constructed out of 3 shipping containers, head on over to the Museum of U & Me to have a gander at some of its quirky exhibits. It’s located right on the National Museum of Singapore’s Lawn, and admission is completely free.
The makeshift museum is home to a curation of artefacts that retells the Singapore story, contributed by Singaporeans from all walks of life. For instance, marvel at a 3D reproduction of the legendary Singapore Stone and the 1919 Centenary medal which marked Sir Stamford Raffles’ arrival on the Little Red Dot.
Also of nostalgic interest are displays like a 1970s TV set, colourful tiffin carriers, and the Singapore Girl perfume, which was the scent of choice for many in the early 1980s. For a cool memento, don’t forget to have a go at the museum’s digital interactive game. Identify exhibition objects within edited archival photographs correctly, and you’ll walk home with a collectible card.

With National Day mere days away, looking back at how far we’ve come before we hit the big 60 is not a bad idea at all. For a major throwback, head on over to the Singapore Odyssea: A Journey Through Time exhibition happening at the National Museum of Singapore from 8th August 2025 onwards.
You’ll get to learn more about the Little Red Dot’s rich marine history in an interactive and mesmerising way. Inside the exhibition, educational, yet IG-worthy installations are plentiful; look forward to a digital waterfall with ripples that emanate from your footsteps, and a huge suspended LED globe that lights up with Singapore’s historic trade routes.
