Jio your basketball buddies and pickleball kakis for a game at The Kallang Hard Courts. The courts here can be adapted to your preferred spot, as long as you make a booking first.
Image credit: Boon Kiat Goh via Google Maps
Kallang Tennis Hub has more pickleball courts, along with their many tennis courts. Tennis players can choose between sheltered and outdoor courts to rally up, while pickleball enthusiasts can play on the outdoor junior courts here.

For more action on the court, head down to OCBC Arena. It may house 9 National Sports Associations, but courts here are open for anyone to book. Rally your friends for a game of netball, or hit some satisfying spikes at the volleyball courts.

If indoor volleyball isn’t enough, play a game under the sun at the beach volleyball courts. Put on your sunblock and block your friends’ spikes here.
Beat the heat and dive into the pool at the OCBC Aquatic Centre. Splash freely as you swim laps in the training pool, or try out some aqua fitness classes.
Kayaking & canoeing at Water Sports Centre

Runners and track stars can run over to the Home of Athletics for their next training session. Channel your inner Usain Bolt as you chase the finish line.

Or if you’re worried about the rain or can’t make it in time for the public hours at the Home of Athletics, head over to the Promenade instead. Have a jog at the 888-metre long track that circles the National Stadium.

Of course, you can’t separate sports and physical training, so get your reps in at the exercise & fitness station above the former Sports Hub Library.

When nature calls, answer it in comfort. We’ve gone around The Kallang and found some of the best spots to let it all out.

Cleanliness, tons of cubicles, cooling aircon, the toilets at OCBC Arena Level 1 have it all. We recommend coming here if you’re expecting a long time on the porcelain throne.
There’s also a separate shower and locker room area right next door, for anyone who needs to freshen up after an intense workout.
Something we’ve noticed on our toilet hunt is a severe lack of bidets in the area – in general, most toilets only have the bidet spray in handicapped cubicles.
For guaranteed bum cleanliness, head down to Kallang Tennis Hub, where every cubicle is equipped with a bidet spray. Just a heads up – you might find the toilet bowls soaked if the previous user decides to hose down the seat.
Imagine you’re waiting for the doors to open before a concert at the National Stadium, killing time at Leisure Park Kallang. You walk to the nearest toilet, only to find a line snaking out the toilet entrance.
It’s happened to this writer, and she’s now un-gatekeeping the toilet at Leisure Park Kallang B1, where there was practically no line for the loo. The slight distance away from everything else might put you off, but we’d say it’s worth the lack of waiting.

Hydration is important when you’re exercising, and the people at The Kallang know that too. We found water dispensers at these sports facilities in the area:
Special shoutout to the water dispensers at the Water Sports Centre for blessing us with ice-cold water after walking all over The Kallang.

Gather with fellow football fans at Bar Soccer – this bar is covered in football paraphernalia and often screens live matches for fervent fans. A pint here starts from $13, or you can share a bucket of beer bottles with your buddies from $60.
The queue to enter the stadiums before a concert or event can get really long, giving you more than enough time to nibble on some snacks before your turn for security checks. While Cheers might be your go-to to grab that box of Pocky, here’s other alternatives in the area to snag a snack at.
