The Sports Arina Jalan Kayu is a new sports and recreation facility that officially opened on 12th July 2026, and it is located right beside the Thanggam LRT station. This will be the second Sports Arina facility in Singapore, the first being the one at Singapore EXPO Hall 7 which currently only houses pickleball and padel courts.

The Sports Arina Jalan Kayu will have indoor courts for both these sports, and then some. Starting with the pickleball courts, there will be 10 of them here, and the best part? They are all air-conditioned, so you won’t be drenched in sweat for your entire session.

As for padel courts, they’ve got 3 of them. Although these aren’t ACed, they come equipped with AI-powered cameras that automatically record matches, in case you’d like to hit replay on your Golden Points.

Meanwhile, footie fans can host games at the futsal courts here; there are courts appropriately sized for 7 and 9-a-side matches, so groups of varying sizes can head down for a kickabout. These are found outdoors, but there are overhead mesh canopies installed to keep out the sun while keeping the courts breezy.

When Singapore’s humid climate is getting overbearing, you can take a dip in the facility’s swimming pool too. This 20m-long pool is even heated, so you won’t get too chilly even when it’s storming. Do note that you’ll have to purchase an open swim session pass for $10/hour before you can enter the pool.

Shuttlers, don’t feel left out, as there are 4 badminton courts here as well. These courts are all air-conditioned and are made with non-slip flooring, so you won’t have to worry about twisting an ankle. Other sporty activities you can partake in at The Sports Arina Jalan Kayu include basketball, netball, and even gymnastics.

In consideration of nearby residents, soundproofing measures have also been built into the facility; the pickleball courts will all be enclosed, and more trees will be brought into the vicinity to serve as natural noise barriers.

Finally, The Sports Arina Jalan Kayu has joined hands with partners such as athletes and sports academies to further bring sports to the forefront. These include Olympic medallists Joseph Schooling and Feng Tian Wei, as well as local football club Lion City Sailors.
