Takashimaya Love The Earth 2025
The importance of caring for our Earth cannot be overstated, but sustainability often takes a backseat amidst our hectic lives. Expect a slew of sustainability initiatives all throughout the department store – from milk bottle and bra recycling drives where you can score rewards just by decluttering, to attractive deals on eco-friendly items such as kitchen tools and Japanese houjicha.
Attend upcycling workshops to repurpose coffee grounds & t-shirts
Takashimaya will be holding Earth Day workshops on 22nd April 2025 which you’ll wanna sign up for, ASAP. Each workshop costs $20 to join, but all participants will score a $20 shopping voucher plus a goodie bag upon attendance so you’re essentially getting a full refund and a workshop plus shopping sesh at one go! Takashimaya cardholders will receive a $40 shopping voucher along with their goodie bag, essentially getting rewarded for their participation.

2pm-3pm: Coffee Grounds Recycling
Love a good cuppa and want your home brews to go the extra mile? Learn how to upcycle and repurpose your coffee grounds into body scrubs that are naturally effective exfoliants.
11am-12pm, 5pm-6pm: T-Shirt Upcycling
There’s likely a bunch of unwanted t-shirts deep inside your wardrobe. Give them a new lease of life by transforming them into stylish yet functional bags. They’ll be perfect as reusable shopping totes, helping you save on plastic bag costs while cutting down on plastic and textile waste.

Ladies Accessories zone, Level 1

- 22nd April: Score a $5 Green Voucher with a purchase of $50 and above in a single receipt within the Ladies Accessories zone, applicable to the first 300 customers who opt for no carriers.
- 22nd April: Explore products in the “Leave A Light Footprint” series, made from materials that are recyclable, reusable, and less resource-intensive.
Ladies Wear zone, Level 3

- 11th-24th April: Check out The Powder Shampoo‘s installation near the L3 main escalator to learn more about their plastic-free, planet-friendly, and plant-based benefits. Bundle deals are up for grabs at up to 47% off. Get the Eco Escapades set at $25 (U.P. $47.70) and the Starter Kit at $45 (U.P. $75.70). You can also redeem a free travel kit with a minimum purchase of $180 on The Powder Shampoo products.
- 1st April to 31st July: Wacoal members will receive 10 membership points (equivalent to $10) when they drop off their used bras at the recycling stand. These points can be used to offset future Wacoal purchases. Additionally, the first 50 Takashimaya Cardholders participating in this bra recycling drive will also get to redeem a free Love The Earth eco bag.
Children’s Department, Level 4

- 11th-13th April: The first 50 customers who spend $180 and above at the Children’s Department to redeem a cup of ice cream from Kind Kones – a 100% natural plant-based ice cream company.
- 11th-13th April: Trade in your old milk bottles to receive 20% off your next purchase of Pigeon products. The mother and baby care brand will also be sharing tips on recycling.
Household Department, Basement 1

- Now till 30th April: Pick up herb and vegetable cultivation kits from Japanese brand Seishin Tougei. They also have hydroponic kits so you can grow your own greens at home in water rather than soil.

- 11th-30th April: Takeaway fees at the Takashimaya Food Village will be waived for customers bringing their own takeaway containers. Takeaway utensils will only be provided upon request as well, instead of given by default.
- Now till 30th April: Score deals on organically sourced products, including 25% off on Fukujuen’s Organic Houjicha and Yuki Organic Sencha (U.P. $22 each) and Buy 1 Get 1 Free for Honey Farm’s Organic Raw Honey and Organic Royal Jelly Honey (U.P. $60-$70).
