KINN Capsule & Furama Have Daycations From $7/Hour If You Don’t Want To Queue For Your Passport

Stayr Singapore

The long queues of people waiting to collect their passports at ICA is enough to put me off planning a trip overseas. Staycations are an option, but if you’re anything like me, unpacking post-staycay is a struggle where suitcases double as a second wardrobe for weeks and even months on end.

Ideally, sometimes we just need a break that doesn’t require an itinerary or heavy packing to recharge.

Here’s where Stayr comes in. It’s a booking platform for daycations at hotels all across Singapore. There’s no need to pack, plus, rooms are available to you in a matter of minutes. We’ve sussed out a few of our favourite picks:

1. KINN Capsule Hotel – From $7/hour

If a bed and basic amenities are all you need for a few hours, make a booking at KINN Capsule Hotel from just $7/hour. You’ll get to stay in a private pod fitted with a comfy mattress and blackout blinds to block out light for a good midday nap.

Each pod also has power sockets and a pull-down desk should you need to do some work. And if you need to freshen up before you leave, communal showers with toiletries are available with each booking.

The capsule hotel is located at Boat Quay, so you can bookmark this place for a post-party crash after a heavy night of getting lit at the best clubs in Singapore.

Rate: From $7/hour

Here’s something you may not know about daycations – access to the hotel’s facilities are yours during your stopover. At Furama City Centre, this means getting to squeeze in a workout at the hotel’s gym or even swim a couple of laps at the rooftop pool in addition to lounging about in your room for a few hours.

The centrally-located hotel is just minutes away from Clarke Quay and Chinatown. If your last trip to the latter was to pick up CNY goodies for the fam, check out these lesser-known things to do in Chinatown to see this enclave in a new light.

Premier King Room: From $19/hour

3. Grand Park City Hall – Hot desks from $5/hour

While we’re still transitioning between WFO and WFH, consider the other WFH if you need a change in scenery to keep things interesting. Grand Park City Hall has hot desks to Work From Hotel for those who fancy themselves as digital nomads sans the overseas travel.

Hot desks also come with 20% off F&B at the hotel for a quick lunch bite.
