The National Library Board (NLB) has joined forces with Disney and Changi Airport Group to bring us something truly out of this world – a Star Wars Pop-Up Library that’s every fan’s dream come true.
Running from now till 24th January 2026, this galactic experience is part of NLB’s 30th anniversary celebrations, and you’ll find it parked in Changi Airport Terminal 3, open for all to explore.

It’s part of NLB’s ongoing mission to bring books and learning experiences out of traditional libraries and into the community. You’ll find a curated collection of Star Wars stories here, spanning everything from kid-friendly books to novels for older fans.

You won’t be there just to borrow books because the space is decked out with photo ops at every corner. Keep your eyes peeled for familiar faces from the galaxy – you’ll be able to spot a droid or two, including a life-sized C-3PO standee.
There are also lightsabers on display, casting a soft blue tinge across the space that adds a moody glow for those futuristic vibes.
Look out for digital screens showcasing iconic backdrops from the franchise as well.

The Star Wars Pop-Up Library is stocked with over 2,000 copies of books, featuring 380 unique titles specially handpicked by NLB librarians. Some titles you can expect to find include the Star Wars: Darth Vader comic series and Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

And because this is no ordinary library, there’s also a robotic book retrieval system in place. You’ll get to pick your book from a touchscreen kiosk, and a robot “librarian” will do all the heavy lifting, from fetching your title to sending it to a collection point.

It also takes care of returns and shelving, so the library can run mostly on its own. Just note that the return service here is only for books borrowed from this location. But as with any NLB loan, you may choose to return the books to any other library across the island.
Feel free to borrow any of the books using the NLB Mobile app (App Store | Google Play).

Beyond the books and photo ops, there’s plenty to keep both younglings and grown-up fans entertained.
At the interactive zone, take a fun personality quiz – those never get old – to see which Jedi you’re most aligned with. You’ll also get to flex your fan knowledge with a Star Wars trivia challenge.
Yes – it’s free to enter, but you’ll need to check in before stepping into hyperspace. Just scan your library-compliant ID, NLB eCard, or request a QR code day pass using a Singapore-registered mobile number or email via this link.
