Snow City Is Closing In 2026 – Here’s Your Last Chance To Visit With Discounted Tickets & $10 Winterwear

Snow City is closing down

By now, you’ve probably seen the news that Snow City is closing in 2026, and if you felt a tiny pang of sadness, same. For many of us, it was the place for chaotic snowball fights and the novelty of finally seeing “snow” in sunny Singapore. While saying goodbye is going to hurt, Snow City is sending itself off with a One Last Snowfall farewell campaign, which includes discounted tickets and deals before the doors close for good.

When & why is Snow City closing down?

Snow City is officially closing on 30th September 2026, 26 years since it launched in 2000. While no exact reason for the closure was disclosed, the Science Centre Board shared that the move is part of efforts to keep its “offerings fresh and relevant”, especially as visitor interests and the attractions scene continue to evolve.

Of course, the news has sparked plenty of feelings online. We scoured the internet to see what netizens are saying, and most seem genuinely sad to see a place tied to so many childhood memories disappear. It was the spot for locals to escape the heat and experience a winter holiday without touching their passports.

However, others pointed out that Snow City hasn’t exactly been the easiest spontaneous outing – being tucked away in Jurong meant it wasn’t the most convenient to get to. Even with newer additions like a 3-storey glacier luge, some felt it wasn’t enough to pull crowds back in consistently.

What can I expect from the One Last Snowfall campaign?

Each ticket also includes a 1-hour snow play session plus 1 ride on the ice bumper cars, so you get the full experience before it shuts its doors.

$10 winterwear sale

Nope, these aren’t second-hand winterwear from Snow City’s storage. From jackets to pants and boots, brand-new winterwear is going for just $10 each – pretty much unheard of if you’ve ever tried buying winter apparel in Singapore. Take this opportunity to stock up for your upcoming trip to an actual snowy destination, while stocks last.

TY plushies at discounted rates

Closing down also means it’s time to clear the shelves, and even the TY plushies from the souvenir shop deserve a proper send-off and a new home. While exact discount details haven’t been revealed, Snow City’s Instagram simply teases “amazing deals”, so it might be worth keeping an eye out when you drop by.

And just look at those big, doe-eyed plushies staring back at you. Are you really going to walk away and leave them there?

Head down to Snow City while you still can

Snow City is really one of those places that feels bigger than just an attraction. It’s been a part of school trips and that first “wow” moment of seeing fake snow in Singapore. That’s why this goodbye feels a lot heavier for many of us.

So head down while you still can to relive it all one more time, before it becomes something you only talk about in the past tense.
