They offer passengers the opportunity to travel in luxury for 7-14 hours between cities like Surabaya, Jakarta, and Jogyakarta. Routes for other cities are also available, such as between Bogor, Denpasar, and Malang. For anyone unfamiliar with these places, let us tell you where they are located.

Bogor is just 90-minutes south of Jakarta in West Java while Denpasar is the capital city of Bali. Both cities have direct flights from Singapore via budget airlines such as Scoot, Jetstar, AirAsia, and Batik Air. Malang, on the other hand, is in East Java known for its Dutch-style colonial architecture.

The Sleeper class is, of course, the newest shiny toy. You’ll have access to an adjustable recliner chair that flattens into a bed, with a window seat view of the outside. There are also privacy curtains you can draw to block the sun whenever you feel sleepy.

In addition to a thick quilt and pillow, there’s even an air purifier and light dimmers to help you sleep like a log. What makes the reclining chairs even more shiok is the massage feature.

If you need to stretch your legs for a smoke break, you can do so at the sealed smoking area downstairs beside the water cooler. Likewise, there’s also a washroom within the bus when you need to get down to business. Other complimentary features include a USB charger, shoe compartment, slippers, earplugs, snack buns, and free WiFi.

Other than Nasi Rawon, you can choose other meals like Katsu Chicken Rice or Crispy Chicken Burger from Duta Ngawi restaurant along the Jakarta Malang route.

Long travels tend to get us all a bit hangry, no matter how comfortable they are. Halfway through the journey, you’ll be able to refuel outside with a hearty meal of your choice. The pit stops typically last around 30 minutes, so you’ll have more than enough time to enjoy the grub.

You can snag a 25% discount when using the promo code <NEW> if you book via the redBus app (App Store | Google Play). As there are only 4 buses, competition for seats is stiff, so try not to sit on it and book when you get the chance. There’s also a 20% discount for the new Malang – Yogyakarta route for departures until 14th August 2024.

After choosing your ticket class, an email will be sent to confirm your order. There will also be details of the meeting point and travel itinerary, so you can roughly plan how many sad Netflix movies to squeeze in during the journey.
