Bali is synonymous with villas, affordable Grab rides, and perhaps most of all, endless stretches of beach clubs, with more than enough to spare for each day of our trips there. While Singapore may not be Bali, we do have Rumours Beach Club, hailing from Seminyak itself.
If you miss travelling, look no further than the beach club’s prime location on Sentosa for a quick pseudo-getaway.

Thanks to the sweltering equatorial heat, most of us are suckers for a good pool for a refreshing dip. Out of all the beach clubs in Singapore, Rumours is the only one flexing three pools on its grounds.

Their main infinity pool sits right on Siloso Beach, offering direct access to its powdery shoreline and soft crashing waves. Relax at the edge of the pool or sunbathe on one of the in-pool sofas as you soak in all that Vitamin D. It’s also easy to convince yourself you’re on a faraway island with a good lounge on the sofas, daybeds or beanbags that surround the pool.

Not a paradise just for adults, kids can also have a splash safely at a separate shallow dipping pool, surrounded by large cabanas for parents to keep a keen eye out. For a more intimate experience, make a VIP booking to access their exclusive area with its own pool, away from everyone else.

To go with the view, there’s freshly-grilled seafood cooked at their grill house on the beach. Dive into seafood galore with dishes from the Balinese town of Jimbaran like Cumi Bakar ($35.80), or grilled squid, and Udang Bakar ($42.80), a.k.a. river prawns, all cooked with Balinese spices for a tasty #throwback to your last visit to the paradise island.
