“Eh you want go cruise?”
We’re sure it’s said by you or your friends at least once whenever a long weekend is coming up. After all, you simply head to the cruise centre, chop your passport, check into your room, and your adventure begins. One that Singaporeans love is Royal Caribbean, which has some cool itineraries that start right from Marina Bay Cruise Centre.
And now, Royal Caribbean is turning things up a notch. The cruise line has teamed up with Chinese car manufacturer BYD for a special lucky draw. Now here comes the fun part: booking your annual leave and deciding which Royal Caribbean cruise you’re hopping on. If you ask us, Ovation of the Seas should be top of your list.

This 348m-long mega-ship is one of Royal Caribbean’s most iconic vessels, and it’s packed with enough entertainment to rival a mini city. We’re talking a bumper car rink, a FlowRider surf simulator, and even a jewel-shaped capsule that lifts you into the sky for sweeping 360-degree views of the open sea.
Heck, you can even have a skydiving session onboard at RipCord by iFLY.

Of course, no cruise is complete without great food. Ovation of the Seas has more than 20 dining options, including crowd favourite Wonderland, Jamie’s Italian by Jamie Oliver, and Japanese favourite Izumi. So you don’t have to worry about dabao-ing food on board the ship.

And as for where you’ll be sailing to?
- For a quick escape, there’s the 3-night Penang Cruise, perfect for a weekend getaway with a half-day to eat and shop your way through George Town.
- For a more diverse adventure, hop aboard the 4-night Penang and Phuket Cruise, where quaint cities and stunning natural landscapes await.
- For something longer and more exotic, book the 8-night Bali Adventure Holiday Cruise, which makes stops in Bali and Lombok for that full island-vibes experience.
These itineraries are aboard the Ovation of the Seas, a ship that’s best known for having the highest vantage point on any cruise ship – the North Star, and fun adrenaline-pumping attractions to enjoy with the whole family.
If your travel bucket goes beyond the region, Royal Caribbean also offers longer-haul sailings that’ll take you even further. Look out for the 11-night Tokyo to Singapore Cruise, which stops in Nagasaki, Jeju, Hong Kong, and Ho Chi Minh City, before docking in Singapore.
Royal Caribbean also offers international cruises to Japan, Europe, Alaska, and the Caribbean for those seeking even more global adventures.
Book a cruise via the Royal Caribbean website or via your preferred travel partners.
