Calling all blind box fans: you might want to swing by town sometime soon; that’s because POP MART ION Orchard just opened its doors last weekend. It’s POP MART’s newest and biggest store in the country, and apart from rows and rows of beloved merch, it also houses a photobooth and a MRT-themed photo spot.
Just in time for National Day, they’ve even launched a whole Singapore-exclusive range of their popular Labubu series; here’s what you can look out for when you swing by this shiny new 262 sqm POP MART haven.
Like its name suggests, POP MART ION Orchard is located within ION Orchard, at B2-57, and opened its doors to customers just last weekend. It takes on a futuristic toy factory theme, and you’ll notice it as soon as you walk through its sprawling storefront.
Huge MEGA SPACE MOLLY figures are displayed for all to admire, and you can spot a couple of its regular-sized counterparts on a conveyor belt-like display. Speaking of which, the store is chock full of POP MART merch which you can spend the entire afternoon perusing.
They’ve got the whole gang here – shop your usual Dimoo, SKULLPANDA, and Molly offerings, but the one on everyone’s radar is the LABUBU HIDE AND SEEK IN SINGAPORE Series ($39.90). It’s exclusive to Singapore, and features the mischievous critter aptly dressed in a Merlion outfit.
Diehard collectors can also pick up other often sold-out series too; on our visit, we saw cases of the LABUBU Have a Seat and Exciting Macaron series, alongside other Singapore exclusives like a Hacipupu plush keychain.
The store also plays host to Singapore’s widest collection of POP Bean mini figurines, should you be looking for smaller-scale eye candy to decorate your work desk with.
If you need a break from the shopping, stop by the life-sized SKULLPANDA sculpture in the middle of the store to snap some pics for the ‘Gram.
Dimoo fans can make a beeline for the Dimoo-on-the-Go area for a cute photoshoot too; it’s modelled after a train cabin, complete with seats and poles to strike a pose with.
For newbies who’re looking to dip their toes into building their own collection, here’s a POP MART guide to get you started. This list of shops that stock POP MART figures might also come in handy, and for another hobby-related read, take a look at how this trading card collecting fan took his pastime to the next level.
