LEGO Now Has A Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle With Over 6,000 Pieces For Muggles To Experience The Wizarding World

Like other Potterheads out there, I was devastated when my Hogwarts acceptance letter didn’t turn up. At first, I blamed it on the owl – it’s a long way from the UK and it might’ve gotten sidetracked. But no owl ever came, and I accepted my fate of being a regular muggle. But hurrah, now there’s a chance for us muggles to live out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

From now to 9 September 2018, there’ll be a flurry of Harry Potter activities happening at Compass One to celebrate LEGO’s launch of the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle. The set features Hogwarts in its full glory, from Tom Riddle’s Chamber of Secrets to the red-and-gold Gryffindor common room. Here’s what we can build with over 6,000 LEGO pieces:

Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle

While we’ve all played with LEGO in our childhood, this Harry Potter 71043 Hogwarts Castle is a whole ‘nother ball game – especially since it comes with 27 microfigures and over 6,000 pieces. That includes practically the whole gang, with favourites like Hermione Granger to Death Eaters like Bellatrix Lestrange…even He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named makes an appearance with 5 loyal Dementors.

The Castle comes with everything we’ve ever read in the books: there’s even a Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, Chamber of Secrets, and a Hungarian Horntail dragon to boot. Hogwarts’ grounds also features Hagrid’s hut and the Whomping Willow tree – y’know, the tree with the secret passageway to Hogsmeade.

It even includes details as minute as buildable boats to sail across the Great Lake, Dumbledore’s Pensieve, and moving staircases. Really, anything you’ve ever wondered about in Hogwarts – this LEGO set has got it all.

Activities at the Launch of the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle

The LEGO set of Hogwarts Castle launched over the weekend, but you can still head to the LEGO Harry Potter Event at Compass One to admire Hogwarts in its full beauty. There’s plenty going on, from building your own Harry Potter models to scoring free LEGO sets.

There’ll be a Build & Redeem Area where you can build with LEGO pieces, snap and share your own Harry Potter build to claim a Compass One freebie. It’s a space where you can build a whole lotta Harry Potter creations, from a wand – who needs Ollivander’s Wands these days? – to the Weasley’s flying car. You can also try your hand at building the Hogwarts Express.

Also, if you purchase any LEGO product of any amount at the Launch Event, you stand a chance to win the Harry Potter mosaic – plenty of HP fans contributed by piecing together this mosaic mural over the weekend.
