K-Pulse: K-Pop Group Dance Competition
Singapore’s streets may be a long way away from Itaewon, but this September might change that, with the K-Pulse: K-Pop Group Dance Competition happening at selected HDB Malls over 2 weekends.
Whether you’ve got a dance crew ready to go, or have aspirations of making it big, here’s all you need to know for the competition.

What is K-Pulse: K-Pop Group Dance Competition?

K-Pulse: K-Pop Group Dance Competition is the first-ever K-pop dance competition organised by HDB Malls, open to literally almost everyone of all ages.
Sign-ups for this competition are free, which definitely takes one potentially problematic factor out of the equation.
All you have to do is gather your dance kakis – your group can be as small as 2 of you, to a maximum of 6 dancers in total.
There are 2 categories: Under-19, for participants aged 4 to 18 years old, and Open, for anyone aged 19 and above.

When is K-Pulse?

The qualifying rounds of K-Pulse will happen on 5th and 6th September 2026. Then, there will be the finale, held on 12th September for the Under-19 Group, and 13th September for the Open Group.

What’s happening at this dance competition?

While the teams battle it out on the dance floor, there will be exciting fringe events for everyone else to take part in, such as a Just Dance Challenge, where the top 3 scorers will receive a Jisulife Portable Fan.
Other highlights include an Interactive Glitch Grid Experience, and a free photo booth, in between supporting your friends and the other competitors.

FYI, 5 groups from each qualifying round will advance to the finale, and each of these qualifying groups stands to receive a $300 cash bonus.
The winners are in for a real sweet deal, because each 1st place group will win $3,000 cash, while the 2nd place teams are in for $2,000 a group. 3rd place winners will receive $1,000 cash too, on top of the $300 bonus for qualifying.
