No longer reserved for yearly reunion dinners during Chinese New Year, indulging in a hotpot meal is now a common group activity – and naturally, restaurants with hotpot buffets are now a dime a dozen in Singapore these days.
We all love a bubbling pot of soup with an unlimited selection of meat cuts and veggies, but not all of us have the cash to splurge at Hai Di Lao or Beauty In The Pot on a regular basis. Worry not – here’s a list of affordable hotpot buffet restaurants in Singapore so you know where to stretch your dollar at.

Patrons at Hao Lai Wu Steamboat & BBQ will notice something different right off the bat – instead of metal pots, the restaurant uses trippy illuminated crystal pots. They disperse heat well, and feel just warm to the touch – so you don’t have to worry about getting scalded while enjoying that piping hot broth.
On top of that, you won’t have to worry about reeking of smoke post-feast, because smokeless grills are used.
Starting from $19.80, their BBQ and hotpot buffet promotions come with over 100 ingredients to choose from, including fresh seafood such as crab, scallop, and oysters.
Hao Lai Wu regulars would know of a secret item that is not listed on the menu – their speciality egg roll. Mixed with chopped scallions, chillies and crab-stick, the fragrant and fluffy omelette is a must-try.
Open till 3AM daily, this hotpot spot is perfect for satisfying your late-night hunger pangs. Check out Eatbook’s review of Hao Lai Wu here.

Dookki – meaning 2 meals in Korean – is a dining concept that begins with a Tteokbokki (rice cake) hot pot, and finishes with kimchi fried rice. For the price of $18.80, customers can DIY their own Korean fried rice by mixing their leftover Tteokbokki sauce with steamed rice.
Cheese lovers can order an ala carte “Double Cheese Ring” at $9.80 for some of that cheese-pull action. Dookki offers 8 types of Tteokbokki, all imported from Korea. Other dishes here worth a mention include their Kimnari (Korean Seaweed Roll), Eomuk’ (Korean Fishcake) and QQ noodles.
The buffet also includes free-flow soft drinks, Korean tea and Bingsu (shaved ice dessert). Do note that you’ll have to complete your meal within 90 minutes.

We all know how difficult it is to find decently priced food in the CBD but Pot Yummy Yummy is here to change the game by offering steamboat buffets at $18.80. Buffet items are presented on a conveyor belt, and each diner gets a personal pot with a choice of 1 of the 10 soup bases – including the popular black chicken, pig bone, and Japanese sukiyaki.
The only downside here is that the buffet price excludes the soup base, which costs an additional $3-4, and free-flow beverages such as soft drinks and juices come at an additional $1. If those aren’t your thing, you can also crack open a Qingdao, Snow, Carlsberg or Tiger Beer.
Pot Yummy Yummy is the ideal spot for the introverts, and pairs as their setup may not fit large groups.
