Update: as of 17th February 2026, the Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema 2026 edition has been put on pause, and all those who have bought tickets will be contacted directly and refunded in full.
Sunsets just hit different over on Sentosa. From year-end parties that begin at golden hour to watching the sun dip below the horizon during a wholesome family picnic, the vibes are unmatched on the island’s many beaches. Well, pretty soon, you’ve another excuse to head back, this time to Tanjong Beach.
In case you didn’t know, Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema is back for another year of movies by the beach. You should know the drill by now; if spending the evening catching award-winning films with a cocktail in hand sounds like your cup of tea, read on to find out how you can start planning your next movie date.
Dubbed “Asia’s most breathtaking open-air cinema,” Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema is a movie-on-the-beach experience that’s designed to offer chill vibes. You’ll get to kick back in a comfy deck chair, sip on a cocktail, and soak in stunning sunset views before the big screen lights up.
Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema 2026 will be happening from 30th April to 10th May 2026, from Thursdays to Sundays only and like past editions, it’ll be held at Tanjong Beach on Sentosa. Tickets start from $48, and although films will start at 7.45pm, gates will open at 5.30pm onwards, giving you a little over 2 hours to explore all the makeshift cinema has to offer.
Firstly, you’ll want to chope your seats as the event sports a free-seating arrangement, so head on over to any of the comfy deckchairs and set your stuff down. Of course, feel free to snap a pic of the seaside vista illuminated by the last streaks of sunlight as day transitions to night.
There’ll be a live DJ set supplying the beats too, so don’t be shy to bust a move on the sandy dance floor. But if you need an infusion of liquid courage beforehand, make a quick visit to the on-site bar to redeem your free Hendrick’s Gin cocktail that comes with every ticket. Of course, you’re welcome to come back to purchase more tipples; they’ve got drinks ranging from the classic Hendrick’s & Tonic to the refreshing Hendrick’s Seaside Fizz.
Before you know it, it’s time to get comfortable in your deckchairs as dusk falls and the huge screen lights up. Wireless headphones will be provided for maximum immersion, and from here on out, it is the cinematic masterpieces that take centre stage. Speaking of which, the lineup of movies is once again stacked with world-acclaimed films featuring Oscar-nominated performances; have a look at the film schedule below:

When it’s time to head home after your movie, there will be shuttle buses to transport you right to Harbourfront MRT station, so you don’t have to worry about being stranded on Sentosa.
If a regular cinema outing to Golden Village is getting stale, consider spicing up movie nights with a visit to Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema. It’s an amalgamation of quality booze, gripping flicks, and postcard-worthy views of Tanjong Beach; you can’t really ask for much more.
