Horse riding in Singapore might be considered a niche hobby, but it’s undeniably a unique way to spend the day outdoors and enjoy some fresh air. So if you’re looking for a change from the usual cafe hopping or POP MART runs, Gallop Stable’s brand new location at Sembawang lets you get up close with cute horses.
You can sign up for riding lessons, hop on a pony ride, or simply spend time with the horses – and by the end of the day, you might just discover a new hobby. Here’s everything you need to know about the new stable.

Gallop Stable is a horse riding centre offering riding lessons, pony rides, feeding sessions, and trail rides to the public. Visitors walk in for casual activities like joy rides or book riding classes.
The brand has been around for 25 years and recently relocated to Sembawang from Bukit Timah Horsecity, just last October. Most of the horses here are retired racehorses, including stallions that have been rehabilitated and reschooled for leisure riding. You’ll also find ponies and rescue horses here.
The team works closely with each horse to help them adjust to life after racing, focusing on rehabilitation, groundwork, and gradual retraining before they’re introduced to beginner riders, with welfare taking priority at every stage.
If you’d like a simple introduction, you can go for a horse ride for $20 per session. Feeding sessions are available for $2, while a stable visit costs $5.
Kids 3 years old and above can enjoy pony joy rides for $15 – and if you’re dropping by on a whim, the pony joy rides are available for walk-ins, subject to availability. A weight limit of 40kg applies to the pony joy rides.
For something more structured, riding lessons start from $65 for a 30-minute weekday session – available for both adults and kids. Lessons are usually conducted privately, so you’ll get focused guidance, though you can also book together with friends for a semi-private or small group lesson. Ensure you make your booking 2 to 3 days in advance.
Plus, those who find themselves wanting to spend more time at the stable can also sign up for volunteer training programmes, and prior experience isn’t required.
If you’re thinking of checking the place out, 21st February 2026, from 10am to 10pm, would be a lively day to head down. Gallop Stable’s grand opening will take on a funfair style to mark their new home and celebrate the Year of the Horse.

There’s no entrance fee, so you’re free to walk around. But to take part in the activity stations, you’ll need ticket booklets. Presale booklets are $10 for 10 tickets, while booklets purchased on the day cost $12. Each activity requires between 2 and 5 tickets, depending on what you choose.
On the day, you’ll get to explore the new stable, play some carnival games, interact with the horses, snap photos at the photobooths, pick up goodie bags with lucky horseshoes, and catch a lion dance performance that might even feature some of the ponies. And if you’re feeling a little peckish during the fun and games, there are food stalls available around the venue, so feel free to grab some nibbles with your tickets.

Getting there is simpler than you think: head to Canberra Station and walk to Exit B. Take bus 169 for 5 stops, and alight at Aft Pakistan Rd. From there, across the overhead bridge to Gallop Stable.
