We Rank The Haunted Houses At Halloween Horror Nights 2026 – Here’s The Scariest One To Look Out For

Halloween Horror Nights 2026

While the Hungry Ghost Festival has closed out for the year, the hauntings at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) have only just begun. This year, USS has brought us the 14th rendition of its spookiest and most-anticipated event.

Halloween Horror Nights 14 (HHN14) will be running on selected nights from 25th September 2026 to 1st November 2026, featuring 4 harrowing haunted houses, 2 scare zones, and 3 ghastly shows. At the heart of this year’s scares is the familiar karang guni and his cursed collection of secondhands.

We checked out HHN14 before its official opening, and here’s how we rank each haunted house.

What to expect at Halloween Horror Nights 2026?

The event features 4 haunted houses, 2 scare zones, and 3 live shows.

Take note that this year’s festivities are all concentrated around the right side of the park, so be prepared for pretty dense crowds – at least you’ll be able to catch a breather over at Far Far Away or Jurassic Park.

Least to most scary haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights 2026

4. Made in Hell: XL Robotics

Robots gone rogue

halloween horror nights 14 - xl robotics

Ghosts aren’t the only things you have to worry about at HHN. Made in Hell: XL Robotics is where futurism and technology meet twisted genius and pandemonium. And if you think robots can’t be scary, you’re wrong.

halloween horror nights 14 - xl robotics

The premise of this house is that XL Robotics has discovered the secret to immortality and is now selling it to the wealthy. However, there’s a catch: human life force is being harvested to power artificial life, and embryos are being grown in labs just for the use of their life forces.

halloween horror nights 14 - xl robotics

A rebel group has had enough and is storming XL Robotics – unfortunately for us, stepping into this haunted house means we’ve walked straight into the middle of their attack. We also spotted sleek showrooms and pristine robotics labs overrun by horrific scenes. Near the end, we met the CEO, who watched us with preying eyes, ready to make us the next victims.

Without spoiling too much, we’ll tell you that some of the robots standing unassumingly may not be so innocent after all.

Scare factor: 6/10

3. Chatterbox Charlie’s Vaudeville Horrors

Haunted puppets & a terrible tale

Our first look at Chatterbox Charlie and Junior.

Those who went to HHN13 last year might remember Chatterbox Charlie from a scare zone. Last year, Charlie got so popular that he’s got a whole house telling his story this year.

The story Chatterbox Charlie’s Vaudeville Horrors haunted house portrays is that of the sinister relationship between Charlie and his ventriloquist puppet, Junior, as the line between puppet and puppet master becomes increasingly blurred.

Enter their theatre and you’re transported into an old-fashioned world of red curtains, performances, puppets, and optical illusions. As you move backstage, the distinction between performer and puppet starts getting increasingly blurry as Charlie and Junior seek out real victims

Anyone with a fear of dolls might want to prepare themselves for this one, as it leans into theatrical horror rather than Singapore’s local legends. So expect plenty of dolls, puppets, and a deeply unsettling feeling that everything you’re looking at might not be as lifeless as they seem.

We think the room involving optical illusions was fun, but also ramped up the scare factor.

Scare factor: 7/10

2. Singapore’s Most Haunted: ON AIR

5 haunting local legends in 1 house

halloween horror nights 14 - on air

Singapore’s Most Haunted: ON AIR is the 3rd iteration of the Singapore’s Most Haunted series, set in a Singaporean TV and radio studio that went defunct and haunted after its main news anchor was killed on-air. Except the cameras haven’t really stopped rolling.

halloween horror nights 14 - on air

The TV Ghost has trapped those inside the studio and forces them to continuously reenact horrifying stories. The house is decked out to look like different television sets, with not just 1, but 5 stories based around local legends unfolding as we made our way through.

halloween horror nights 14 - on air

As we made our way through the studio, we stepped into different sets based on familiar local horror stories, including the famed Yellow Tower and Devil’s Bend. At each set, the entities brought one of those stories to life and showed us their version of what supposedly happened.

According to the house’s lore, the TV Ghost gets energetically stronger every time these stories are watched or retold, so technically, by walking through the house and watching each of the stories unfold, we were helping to keep the TV Ghost alive. Oops.

A first look at the TV Ghost.

Walking through the house, we couldn’t help but appreciate the effort that went into the set design and storytelling. It was definitely high up there in terms of budget and planning, so keep your eyes peeled for the little details and intricacies in the house, including not 1, but 2 manifestations of the TV Ghost staring you down at one point.

1. Karang Guni: The Cursed Collection

Possessed items in a cursed shophouse

halloween horror nights 14 - karang guni

Most Singaporeans would be familiar with the karang guni man and the toots of his horn, roaming about residential areas, hawking, and collecting unwanted things. But what happens if some of these things are cursed?

Karang Guni: The Cursed Collection tells the story of one karang guni’s massive collection of items, including a toyol and the hat of a killed Samsui woman, so cursed that they started possessing him.

halloween horror nights 14 - karang guni

From the outside, the facade of the house looks like a replica of an old, semi-abandoned Singaporean shophouse that belongs to a karang guni. We then came face to face with questionable-looking discarded items upon stepping inside, ranging from old dolls to mirrors and everyday knick-knacks.

halloween horror nights 14 - karang guni

And there’s a reason it feels particularly cluttered: hundreds upon hundreds of props have been used to fill the shophouse, which left us slack-jawed at every twist and turn.

Expect to see 3 versions of the karang guni man appearing throughout the house, from his vaguely normal appearance to a partially-possessed version holding up a bloodied head and, finally, his full demonic form.

halloween horror nights 14 - karang guni

The set design is so intricate and marvellous that I was muttering “well done!” to myself as I admired the many animatronics and props. But if you’re the type who gets freaked out by old, probably haunted stuff, perhaps you’ll have second thoughts about going thrifting right after HHN.

Scare factor: 8/10

Scare zones at Halloween Horror Nights 2026

halloween horror nights 14 - kia si amulet

This year, HHN has introduced the Kia Si Amulet, which functions to ward off scare actors at scare zones when turned on. However, it offers no immunity from jump scares in the haunted houses.

It costs $18, which is a little pricey in our opinion for something that only works in 2 scare zones sparsely populated by scare actors. But if you are deathly afraid of jump scares, it might be worth splurging.

The Raveyard

halloween horror nights 14 - the raveyard

At The Raveyard, the streets of the New York zone have become a forgotten cemetery, then transformed into an afterlife rave, complete with neon lights and music so loud we could feel the beats in our ribcage. Here, we came face-to-face with the undead raving and partying among the people, and managed to snap some photos with them too.

halloween horror nights 14 - the raveyard

We especially loved the zombie peddling Fanta drinks, and the interactive factor of the zone, including photobooths housed within piles of tombstones. The lines for the photobooths do tend to get long, so make sure to head straight for The Raveyard if you’re keen on snapping some pics with the pals.

Necropolis: The Serpent’s Crossroads

halloween horror nights 14 - necropolis

If there’s something you want really badly, you can head down to Necropolis: The Serpent’s Crossroads and make a deal with ancient Egyptian gods in exchange for your soul.

This scare zone spans the entire Ancient Egypt zone and is shrouded in fog with scare actors performing as Egyptian ghouls stationed around the place. While we were there, none of the scare actors came for us jumpscare-style, simply roaming around and staring at us eerily from time to time.

Here’s me trying to take a pic with the ghoul, mentally preparing for a jumpscare.

We think that put us a little more on edge, because we were in constant anticipation of jumpscares that never came.

Scaremony

halloween horror nights 14 - scaremony

This year, the popular Scaremony is back to open the night. The show takes you through the tale of a content creator group following a karang guni man to an abandoned warehouse, which they explore and subsequently come across horrors they were never meant to see.

Nail The Beat

halloween horror nights 14 - nail the beat

Over at The Raveyard, you can also experience Nail The Beat, where you’ll see Hamikuma, a Universal Studios Japan fan favourite, finally unveiled in Singapore. Hamikuma and its Scare Bears face off against Pontianak-inspired Ponti-Ana and her Fatimah Rockers in an epic dance battle that you can join from the audience. We definitely had fun dancing along to the beat.

halloween horror nights 14 - fatimah rockers

Not an official show, but look out for Ponti-Ana’s Fatimah Rockers, who roam the park and deliver a few synchronised moves. We caught them outside Mel’s Drive-In, scaring the diners through the windows.

Club PanDEMONium

halloween horror nights 14 - club pandemonium

Last but definitely not least, the show that entertained us most has to be Club PanDEMONium, a hellish cabaret. The show takes place inside the Pantages Hollywood Theater, which has been transformed into the hottest club in hell. Presiding over the night’s festivities is KHAOS, a ruthless demon who serves as a judge of souls.

halloween horror nights 14 - club pandemonium

Experience 7 acts based on the 7 deadly sins, bop to familiar songs, and stand a chance to be chosen from the crowd to get on stage for some of the acts. Our favourite act was Lady Lust, who delivered a rendition of Disturbia by Rihanna.
