The 7th month may be over, but spooky szn sure isn’t. In fact, we’re only a month away from Halloween, and the festivities have already begun. For us horror fans, this includes the return of our favourite annual screamfest – Halloween Horror Nights 2025 at Universal Studios Singapore.
Happening from 26th September to 1st November 2025, this year’s HHN is the event’s eerie 13th edition; with 4 haunted houses, 2 scare zones, and 3 shows. From Vecna to the Black Spirit, here’s every ghoul you’ll encounter during your visit.
HHN 13 tickets are available on the Resorts World Sentosa website and Klook, starting at $68/pax for non-peak periods on Mondays to Thursdays, and $78/pax for peak periods on Fridays to Sundays.
If you’re braving the houses with your pals, there’s also a Frights For Four package for 4-pax friend groups, starting at $480. This comes with 4 sets of tickets, $20 F&B vouchers, $5 retail vouchers, and early entry to the park at 4pm.
Meanwhile, those who want to skip the queues can opt for the R.I.P. Tour for a true VIP experience. This starts at $260/pax, and includes perks like a HHN express pass, private meet-and-greet with characters, and a $25 F&B voucher.
There are 4 haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights 13 – Netflix’s Stranger Things, The Unruly Immortals, Death Whisperer, and Singapore’s Most Haunted: Build To Horror.
You’ll also be able to walk through 2 scare zones at The FEARground and The Realm of Yokai, watch 2 live shows, and 1 projection mapping display.
Here’s our rating of each haunted house and scare zone, so you’ll know what to brace yourself for.
If you’re a fan of Stranger Things, you’ll probably agree that its latest season has been the series’ scariest yet – and just like the show, Netflix’s Stranger Things house gets progressively scarier as you make your way from start to finish.
We don’t want to spoil too much, but the haunted house will take you on a chronological, timely recap through all the terrors from seasons 2 to 4, just ahead of Stranger Things 5.
This means encounters with monsters like the Mind Flayer, Demodogs, and of course – perhaps the most iconic of them all, Vecna. Multiple Vecnas, in fact, popping out from all corners of his gruesome lair.
Scare factor: 7/10. As a fan of the show, I can vouch that this house was a real treat to navigate, if you dare to keep your eyes open long enough.
Li Huowang himself.
Based on the popular Yuewen manhua of the same name, The Unruly Immortals house will take you on a trippy, fantastical experience akin to the POV of the story’s protagonist, Li Huowang.
Just as he toes the line between madness and genius in modern-day and ancient realms, the house is an eclectic reflection of his convoluted mind – and trust us, you won’t know what to expect at every turn.
From sinister hospital wards, to alchemy chambers, and even a mirror room that’s creepy as heck; we felt like we were in the midst of a fever dream throughout.
Scare factor: 8/10. The mirror room with a creepy girl staring at us really took the cake here, we had to take a breather before stepping in.
TBH, I’ll be the first to admit that nothing scares me more than Asian horror films. Maybe it’s because of proximity, or the fact that a creepy pale-faced lady with long black hair is almost always thrown into the mix; but Asian horror never fails to deliver.
As such, it came as no surprise that the Death Whisperer house – inspired by the popular Thai horror franchise – was the scariest of all 4 houses to me.
The Black Spirit in the flesh.
Without giving away too much, we’ll tell you that there are jumpscares even outside the main house, and you’ll get to meet a distraught Yak and his family as you navigate your way through.
Also, did we mention that it’s got 2 levels? Yep – you’ll have to drag your shaky legs up a flight of stairs here, and meet more evil characters hiding behind bushes at the top.
Scare factor: 9/10. Our tour guide told us he left this house screaming, so do with that info what you will.
The run-down BTH flat.
You’re worried about BTO, but at least you’re not living in this BTH. Singapore’s Most Haunted: Build To Horror house is a nightmarish BTO flat gone wrong in the worst ways, and the horrors defo hit close to home.
He’s a man possessed.
For context, you’ll be walking through a dilapidated estate haunted by a demonic TCM practitioner.
With walkways, corridors, and rooms that look all too familiar, you’ll encounter hyperlocal ghouls, from a trash bag monster to a ghastly demon clanking the estate’s pipes.
Scare factor: 7.5/10, felt queasy thinking about walking home to our flats later that night.
If you’re afraid of clowns, good luck walking through this one. The FEARground is essentially a twisted carnival packed with all sorts of creepy performers, from haunted puppeteers to mischievous clowns looming over you with tall stilts.
If you dare to get close, you’ll be able to snap photos with them, and maybe even share a witchy cackle.
Scare factor: 6/10, but if you’re scared of clowns, we’ll bump it up to an 8.
Inspired by Hyakki Yagyō, a.k.a the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons in Japanese folklore, The Realm of Yokai is yet another Asian horror zone that’ll scare the living daylights out of you.
You’ll have to meander your way through a winding path here, with demons waiting to jump out at every corner.
They take every shape and form here, from oogly-eyed blobs to giant monsters that’ll tower over you. Fortunately or unfortunately, the only way out is through, and let’s just say the final creature was the most impressive of all.
Scare factor: 7/10, this scare zone felt hella long to walk through.
As you make your way around the houses, don’t forget to stop by 3 shows at USS – 2 live performances titled Once Upon A Time…To Die and Dare or Die Live!, and 1 projection mapping show by Blumhouse.
Our favourite was Once Upon A Time…To Die, hosted by a crazy White Rabbit who tries to gain immortality by killing his poor victims. It’s sort of a twisted, dark take on Alice in Wonderland, except this time, you’ll fall down the rabbit hole into Wonder-hell instead.
Expect stunning performances with sharp choreography, elaborate costumes, and the coolest visual effects. BTW, the performers step off the stage at multiple points during the show, so you’ll get to see them in action up close.
Over at The FEARground, you’ll get to watch Dare or Die Live!. This one’s a deadly game show, and all of us in the audience are the Death Devil’s unwilling – or willing – victims.
The show is charged with powerful dance routines that’ll keep you hooked from start to end, and if you’re lucky, you might get picked to join the Death Devil on stage.
Besides live performances, horror movie fans are in for a treat at the Blumhouse: Fear Lives Here projection mapping show at the Far Far Away castle. The light spectacle will showcase famous scenes from iconic Blumhouse movies like M3GAN and The Purge, played alongside a creepy original music score.
You might be able to stomach the horrors of HHN 2025, but can you stomach its range of gory food? JK – these dishes are actually really tasty, albeit looking a tad ominous.
Inside the Blumhouse Bar, blood-thirsty visitors will be able to feast on HHN-themed dishes, some of which are inspired by Blumhouse horror movies.
We tried the Demonic Double Fish Burger, – which came with 2 charcoal-black fish patties sandwiched between buns with pentagram signs, no less – and 7th Month Red Candle Churros.
Other scary bites include Balloon Croquettes with a bloody handprint, Haunted Mala Chicken with yellow prayer paper, and Bloody Cupcakes inspired by Happy Death Day.
At the bar, you’ll also get to watch M3GAN perform her viral dance routine, and snap some pictures with her.
To celebrate their big 13th, Halloween Horror Nights 2025 is back and scarier than ever. Whether you’re scared of ghosts, clowns, monsters, or even a TCM practitioner-turned-demon, there’s definitely something here that’ll keep you up at night even when you get home.
