10 Halloween Events In Singapore For Those Who Wanna Get Spooked But Not By Actual Hantus

Halloween events 2022

Whether it’s to binge on horror films or munch on trick-or-treat hauls, Halloween is something we look forward to for experiences that are out of the norm. To get into the mood of the spooky season, we’ve sussed out 10 Halloween events happening this month, from family-friendly activities to scary-as-heck experiences

1. Navigate a haunted maze at SuperPark

Nothing screams “Halloween!” more than being chased by ghosts around a maze. Horror lovers, that’s what you’ll get at SuperPark’s SuperSpook.

With 3 different spaces to explore, everyone including kids, kids at heart, and parents can get in on the screams. So here’s the plan: if you’re coming with the little ones, park them at the pumpkin-themed bouncy castle while you’re scared out of your mind at the Haunted Maze.

There’ll be a deadly marble match, a bloody butcher on the loose, and a terrifying neighbour from the underworld awaiting you. On the off chance that you manage to escape, head straight to the carnival games. Hopefully, the fun noodle toss challenge will wash away any scarring memory of the journey you just had.

The brightly lit space will be decked out in pink skeletons, Jack-o’-lanterns, and other mildly creepy installations. Stop by the candy cauldrons to solve riddles and score yourself some treats before hitting up the fortune teller for the unveiling of your fate and future.

Make sure you do all that with a Graveyard Sundae or an Orange Creamsicle Milkshake in hand.

3. Hunt for the Pontianak at Halloween Horror Nights

When it comes to Halloween, Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights is a classic.

If you haven’t been before, this event pretty much tears USS apart and turns it into a series of haunted houses, scare zones, challenges, and puzzles. We’re talking about a killer artist, dozens of starving zombies, the deadly 13th Zodiac, and Pontianaks following you around, jumping out of buildings, and scaring the shizzle out of you.

If solving puzzles in a real battle against the villain is your jam, opt for the laser tag challenge. Just remember, no pushing even if these nightmarish characters might come after you with a fake chainsaw.

Get tickets to Halloween Horror Nights.

Date: From 30th October – 5th November 2022.
Entry: From $68/person
Address: 8 Sentosa Gateway, Singapore 098269
Opening hours: Wed-Thu 11am-6pm | Fri-Sat 11am-6pm & 7.30pm-12.30am | Sun 11am-6pm (Closed on Monday and Tuesday)

4. Trick or treat with the kids at S.E.A Aquarium

The S.E.A Aquarium is probably one of the least scary attractions on this list. That’s why it’s perfect for families with younger kids who want to get into the Halloween spirit without being freaked out.

Follow the trick-or-treat trail around the aquarium to uncover candies and marine life secrets. Then, catch the divers in skeleton costumes feeding the manta rays. Don’t forget to grab a free pumpkin belt bucket to store sweets in and take pics with the giant mascots scattered around the aquarium before you leave.

Expect to see the creepiest of clowns at the Horror Maze, down the corridor, and inside the foam party. Who knows, there might be one waiting in your cabin as well.

That said, there’ll also be a slew of kid-friendly Halloween shows and games, a giant waterpark with 6 insane slides, a 35m zipline, a rockwall, and a rope course.

There are no gory scenes and scary creatures here. Instead, this family-friendly affair is going to be all about the funky musicals, the colourful costumes, and the endless photo ops. Let the kids run after the Minions, grab lollipops from the Sweet and Sour Squad, and hunt down the Madagascar crew while you strut your head-turning Halloween stuff around.

Just make sure you’ll be in your best costume because there are sweet prizes up for grabs for those who win the Best Dressed Contest.

For 2.5 hours, you can feast to the fullest on Halloween-themed dishes like smoked salmon, pumpkin soup, and barramundi. Don’t forget to check out the spooky salon onboard where creepy creatures await.
