GX-5 Extreme Swing Singapore in Clarke Quay
Remember the insane GX-5 Extreme Swing in Clarke Quay that once inspired real terror for those thrill-starved souls who dared stepping inside and even the passersby? It’s back.
Part of the Slingshot Singapore attraction, this wild ride was closed in 2019 and has recently reopened for business. Just like before, it’ll toss riders up in the air before sending them flying down at an absurd speed of 120km/h. If you’re ready to soar, swoop, and scream your lungs out again, pay it a visit.

I’m terrified so I will most likely sit this one out. But if you’re brave enough, go check it out. Each ride lasts for approximately 15 minutes and according to thrill-seekers, the first fall is truly death-defying.
Opt for an evening ride so you can witness the entire swing light up like an orb. That, and the dazzling city lights are going to be majestic sights to see. Oh and, remember to keep your eyes wide open on the swing. It’s not every day that you get to see the breathtaking Singapore skyline from 40m above the ground.

The swing has made its comeback and is now open every day from 4.30pm-11.30pm.

As far as rules go, riders need to be at least 120cm tall and above 12 years old to get on the swing. That means the kiddos who meet the requirements can join in on all the fun.
Make sure you book tickets in advance. Tickets are priced at $35/student aged 18 and below with a valid student ID, and $45/adult. But if you think about this flying and free fall experience that gives you a panoramic view of the island, it’s worth it. Just don’t eat a big meal right before.
