A camping adventure sounds great until you have to think of mosquitoes, rain and mud. Enter glamping – but this time, it’s not your usual seaside affair either. The novelty factor has been taken to new heights with Changi Airport’s new Glamping By The Runway – an unorthodox option for those seeking new experiences without compromising on comfort.
Available from now till 2nd January 2022, consider this a snazzy idea for your next date or escapade with the young ones.

Staying overnight within the transit area usually = stuck with a couple of hours between flights. But situated within the transit area of Terminal 4 is Glamping By The Runway, a rare opportunity to have a “staycation” within the restricted zone – no boarding pass needed.
Instead of a million security staff and about a gazillion more travellers, a row of 30 picturesque tents now line Terminal 4’s departure area. Each fits up to four people and has plenty to make your stay a comfy one, including a portable air conditioner, small table, fairy lights and most importantly, WiFi and power sockets.
No worries about lying on the cold hard ground like Taylor Swift either, as there’s a turndown service which provides an air mattress, some pillows and blankets as well.

Be sure to wake up early too, as we hear the sunrise views are stellar. Shower facilities will be available, alongside a small breakfast set of dinosaur-shaped curry puffs and packet drinks
Changi Airport is known for having plenty of entertainment and this glamping experience is no different, offering movie screenings and a gaming zone with old-school pinball arcade machines, archery, giant jenga and checkers for guests.

And if a picnic sounds more like your cup of tea, a similar daytime glamping experience, Glamp-Party in the Clouds, is available at Jewel’s Canopy Park with five-hour slots for reservation.
With school holidays and plenty of extra ALs to clear, December is the time of the year to try something new, be it in the form of a VTL holiday or a unique glamping experience. Prices for Glamping by the Runway start from $360 for three adults or two adults and two children, with check-in at 3PM and check-out at 11AM.
