Gardens by the Bay (GBTB) these days seems to have Everything Everywhere All at Once. In May, it turned into a prehistoric playground with Jurassic World: The Experience. Now, it’ll house something a little more romantic: the Rose Romance display. With vibrant blooms and IG-worthy backdrops at every turn, it’s pretty much a love letter brought to life. Here’s what you need to know about the dreamy display coming your way.
Tickets to Rose Romance start from $8, although it varies depending on your age and residency status. To make things easier, we’ve broken it down in the table below:
Residency status | Age group | Price |
*Singapore residents | Kids: 3-12 years old Adults: 13 years old & above Senior Citizens: Above 60 years old | $8 $12 $8 |
Non-residents | Kids: 3-12 years old Adults: 13 years old & above | $32 $46 |
*Singapore residents refers to Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, and people living in Singapore on a valid employment, work permit, and dependent pass.
If roses = romance, then Rose Romance is a full-blown fairytale. Running from now till 20th July 2025, this year’s display takes a cue from the legend of King Arthur, with more than 15,000 roses across 65 varieties filling the Flower Dome and setting the scene for moments from Arthurian legend. It’ll be the kind of romantic history lesson we don’t mind sitting through – got aircon, flowers, and can take cute couple pics too.
As you step in, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported back to the medieval era. Wander through castle-village setups with a variety of lush roses complementing every ancient nook and cranny.
As you make your way into a life-sized replica of the Caernarfon Castle, take a seat at the iconic Round Table, where King Arthur’s knights met. Its circular form meant that no one – not even the king – sat at the head of the table, representing equality.
There’s also a nod to real English history, with a Tudor-style house symbolising the end of the War of the Roses, when the red and white roses came together to form the Tudor era under a united England. Just like how Singapore is a cultural melting pot, this display has some Georgian design elements engraved in it too.
Rose Romance also marks 60 years of diplomatic ties between Singapore and the United Kingdom, in collaboration with the British High Commission Singapore. For the first time ever, you’ll get to witness 2 suits of knight armour and a sword on display, on loan from the Singapore British Club.

Nowadays, people will give their SO roses or chocolates, but back in the 17th century, intricate Welsh spoons were the thing and you can see them right on display inside the Tudor House.
Out of the more than 15,000 roses on display, 4 roses will be making their debut at GBTB. Put your past experiences of playing Where’s Waldo to the test and see if you can spot all of them.
Rosa Amadeus should be quite an easy find, with its big, deep red petals sticking out. On the other hand, Rosa Bianco is a bit more low-key, with its white pompon-style flowers packed neatly together.
If you ever caught a whiff of something sweet and zesty, you’re probably near the Rosa Marchenzauber, a pink rose with an apricot centre that emanates the smell. Similarly enough, Rosa Violette Parfumee has a nice scent and an even more beautiful design.
While not exactly new, the Rosa Duchess of Cornwall is by far the most renowned, as it was used to symbolise the marriage between King Charles and Queen Camilla. And while neither of us may be royalty, the Rosa Deep Love is sure to capture everybody’s hearts, whether single or attached.
Tudor-era or not, it wouldn’t be a showcase of London culture without the iconic red double–decker bus, telephone booth, and mailbox which are all shrouded in roses.

If your kids are tagging along, you can keep them occupied with some Get Crafty! activities. Timeless Rose Bookend by Happy Hands Can ($15) is a DIY paint-your-own rose-themed bookend with a stencil kit. If your kid wants a souvenir though, they can opt for the Everlasting Rose Keychain by Tippsyfingers ($15) where they can create their own intricate rose and floral keychain.
Just note that these activities will be available from 5-6th July 2025 and 12-13th July 2025 respectively.
Check out GBTB’s website for the full deets.
Romanticise your life at Rose Romance by grabbing your partner, BFF, or camera, and making your way down before the blooms say goodbye. Love might not last forever, but this floral fairytale won’t either.
Date: Now till 20th July 2025
