12 Hilarious Singaporean IG Accounts To Follow If You Can’t Get Enough Of MiloTruckDreams

Funny Singaporean IG accounts

Singapore’s Instagram scene has no shortage of influencers peddling their latest #collab and dudes working out in front of a mirror. And while it’s nice to have promo codes and bulking tips, sometimes all we want is content that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

So if you’re looking for some relatable memes to share – or that are just super bo liao to laugh about – then these 12 hilarious Singaporean Instagram accounts have the right content for you.

1. @toiletswithbidetsg – Say it then spray it

Image adapted from: @toiletswithbidetsg

Let’s be real – as convenient as public toilets are when you really gotta make a “deposit”, they’re not always…the best places to visit. This is especially true when you realise the loo’s toilet paper is thinner than popiah skin and rarer than legendary Pokémon.

But with @toiletwithbidetsg, you can flush your fears about being TP-less away.

While you can find bidets in most Singaporean households, they’re uncommon in public washrooms, which makes this account important.

The account has pictures of public toilets all around Singapore with attached bidets, along with their location in the captions. This way, you’ll know where to safely drop your latest hot single without worrying that you can’t freshen up after.

It even tells you how to find particular stalls that have bidets through instructions in the captions, so you’ll know exactly where to run to during an emergency. Plus, it also covers both male and female washrooms, because a bidet is a necessity for everyone’s tushy.

2. @kuey.png – Getting down to the meat…and rice

Image adapted from: @kuey.png

Singapore is a heaven for foodies, and chicken rice is basically our national dish. So it’s no surprise that there would be an IG account dedicated to glory that is kuey png, as it’s known in Hokkien.

You can tell that the owner of @kuey.png loves chicken rice more than average, as they seem to eat it on a daily basis. The account also doesn’t discriminate, featuring both roasted and steamed chicken rice from different hawker centres in Singapore.

Sometimes, the account even spices things up by adding an egg or char siew alongside the main attraction. There have been 1,649 different plates of chicken rice posted over the course of about 5 years, so if you’re ever looking for recommendations, you might wanna DM this kuey png king/kween.

3. @publicnoticesg – Getting the word out, one notice at a time

Image adapted from: @publicnoticesg

Most people put up signs that are useful – and then there are some people who put up signs for no reason at all. If you’re looking for the most rabak signs that’ll make you go “huh?”, then @publicnoticesg is the page for you.

Well done lah, looks exactly the same.

Think of it as a museum of bad interesting signs. Here, you’ll find everything from paggro signs about rubbish to drawings that would make an art teacher cry. The diversity of materials being used to get messages across is also shocking, from plastic bags to cardboard scraps.

If you ever encounter any interesting notices IRL, they have the hashtag #publicnoticesg where you can contribute your findings – or leave a sign as they say.

4. @mcsenget – Leaning tower of McBurgers unite

Image adapted from: @mcsenget

If you’re a nitpicky person who uses a ruler to make sure images are straight on your screen (just me?), then this page is going to be a nightmare. @mcsenget was founded to document the horror and desecration of one’s McDonald’s burger that has toppled over on its side.

If you’re not familiar with the term, senget is a Malay word used to describe something that is tilted or slanted. Since the account has gone live, it has amassed over 300 posts of ruined burgers.

This one not McSenget, this one McGone.

Mild McSengets include lettuce and sauce falling out of one side while more major ones equate to an almost complete deconstruction of the burger. This could be due to rough handling during delivery or rushed assembly; whatever it is, the result incites pure terror.

And while people like me would be busy furiously realigning everything, those who revel in such chaos can take a picture and submit it to mcsenget@gmail.com or the account’s DMs.

5. @yourgirlfriendiswhosia – Ngl, I don’t even know

Image adapted from: @yourgirlfriendiswhosia

No, @yourgirlfriendwhosia is not an IG account that makes fun of single people, but one that leans towards relationship and lifestyle memes.

Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.

It mainly produces relatable memes about how Singaporeans deal with breakups and new relationships, like discussing your new crush over Telegram or being shady about your exes.

So if you’re hurting from a breakup, longing for a partner, or just in for a laugh, this account is a 10 without any buts.

6. @hiimfromocs – I am occifer, understand or not?

Image adapted from: @hiimfromocs

Ah yes, Officer Cadet School (OCS). The definitive mark of whether you will succeed at work, love, and just about every other aspect of life on the little red dot. And what better way to tell others you’re an officer than to flaunt your OCS singlet?

@hiimfromocs hopes to spread awareness about the superiority of the OCS singlet and let people know why it’s important to give way to officer cadets.

Because of course, there has to be an IG account to celebrate your 9 months of hard work that earned your rank of Lieutenant, otherwise known as a “chocolate bar”.

Common settings where you can spot OCS cadets in their element include orientation camps as OGLs scaring, err I mean welcoming, new students, and at the gym trying to unleash their inner beast with their bros.

The iconic singlet is also a surefire tell that a girl is attached when she wears her boyfriend’s OCS singlet out and about – you might wanna steer clear of her or risk signing extra.

7. @thepressingtimes – Breaking memes alert

Image adapted from: @thepressingtimes.sg

@thepressingtimes is a fine example of “journamemism” – the perfect hybrid of journalism and memes used to discuss all things Singaporean. Their wide coverage includes key moments like no Teo Heng for 2 years and where to buy 4D so you confirm win.

*Proceeds to wipe my tears with CDC vouchers*

Posts like how your friend who claims to be “5 mins away” gets charged for spreading false information is an example of how they turn everyday conversations into memeable news.

And just like an actual news publication, they are on top of the latest trends and happenings in Singapore so if you’re looking for the latest breaking memes, you’re in the right place.

8. @memedefsg – Hormat army memes

Image adapted from: @memedefsg

National Service (NS) is a pivotal point in a Singaporean guy’s life when he leaves behind everything he knows about being a civilian and proceeds to only talk about the Army 24/7.

To accommodate those who love to reminisce about the good ol’ Army days, @memedefsg is here to deliver a dose of military humour.

Now I know my girlfriend is who.

The account documents the everyday life of the average recruit, like surefire techniques to chao keng or how being at HQ means you confirm zuobo one.

It gives everyone who has served or is serving a platform to laugh about all things Army. And if you get caught laughing by your Encik and kena asked to knock it down, maybe @memedefsg can show you a thing or two about getting an “Excuse Upper Limb” note.

9. @rafflesplacemrt – Next stop, memes

Image adapted from: @rafflesplacemrt

@rafflesplacemrt is the perfect page for memes to send to all your friends who suddenly decided to become financial advisors or insurance agents even though they studied something different.

Evian water is cool but tap water is free.
Image adapted from: @rafflesplacemrt

One of the page’s main themes is poking fun at SG’s corporate culture. Like how we all know MD actually means “Meet Deadlines” instead of “Managing Director”, or that all office ladies (OLs) and finance interns all look the same.

Yes, the sea of pompadour hairstyles and business dresses proves that being basic at work is a real thing.

10. @diaozuihotline – For the YPs out there

Image adapted from: @diaozuihotline

As the name suggests, @diaozuihotline is designed specifically for the Gen Z young punks (YPs) who live and breathe e-scooters, sling bags and questionable life choices. And there’s nothing more YP than having a page where the name translates to calling for backup in a sticky situation.

Here it is used in a sentence, a la YP: “Oi you better say sorry before I diao zui and call my bros.”

I mean what’s more beng than this, right?

Don’t bother showing her your Balenciaga sling bag, she wants to see your badge.

Hanging out at void decks, anyhowly dabbling in crypto, and playing Mobile Legends might be a sign that you’re a YP, so make sure to hit the follow button if so. Bonus points if you O$P$ anyone for drinks at Zouk – you’re either a solid bro who pays one shot…or the fella who pays $1 every day.

And even if you aren’t a YP, the account is a good guide for you to spot the telltale signs of one that might be lurking nearby.

11. @sgsocialworkmemes – I’m not doing work, the work is doing me

Image adapted from: @sgsocialworkmemes

Dedicated to the social workers of Singapore, @sgsocialworkmemes discusses all the issues that social workers face in a lighthearted manner.

Crying in the shower hides the tears and washes them away at the same time.

You’ll find memes about everything from opening and closing cases to subtle jabs at working OT. So if you have a buddy with a social sciences degree that’s about to enter the workforce, tag them to give them a taste of what to expect. Hey, you’re just shaping them up for what’s to come.

12. @justmediathingss – GDoc comments go brrrrrrrr

Image adapted from: @justmediathingss

Last but not least, we finally present to you @justmediathingss. The account beautifully documents the highs, lows, and lowests of working in SG’s media industry, and looking at this made my editor slowly die on the inside.

“Quick” calls, imposter syndrome, a meeting that should have really been an email – if you get it, you get it.

I will never mentally recover from this.

Media work can be taxing and difficult especially when campaigns are stacked on top of one another. And when things get hectic, it’s nice to take a break by cry-laughing over how a single day of leave can leave your entire calendar rekt

Laugh out loud with these local meme accounts

As you can see, there is more to Singapore’s Instagram scene than just influencers and buff dudes basking in the glory of their gains. And for every unique Singaporean trait, there will always be a page created to make fun of it.

So the next time you’re looking to scroll mindlessly or looking to make fun of someone, visit these pages to leave you and your friends in stitches.
