If you’ve been feeling the aches and strains of adulting lately, or maybe your back is protesting after one too many OT nights, head down to the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) and get a free 10-minute TCM consultation.
CBD folks who need a quick midday fix without straying too far from the office will want to take note. And since it’s free, there’s really no excuse not to treat yourself to a self-care sesh.
The free TCM consultations are part of SCCC’s Midday Pulse Check programme, which ties into the ongoing Healing Heritage exhibition – a showcase of how the practice has evolved in Singapore over the years.
Admission to the exhibition is free and runs till 22nd February 2026. Visit to explore 19th-century artefacts, recreated classic wooden cabinets often seen in TCM clinics back in the day, and learn about how TCM has evolved to incorporate digital tools and halal products.

During the session, physicians from THE TCM FOLKS – a house call TCM service – will conduct a 10-minute consultation and share insights about your overall health using the traditional pulse diagnosis method. No treatments will be provided, but you’ll find out the next steps you should take to address any prevalent issues.
The physicians are also fluent in both English and Mandarin, so no worries even if you’re the jiak kantang type.

Consultations will be held every Thursday from 6th to 27th November 2025, between 11am and 2pm, making it easy to head down during your lunch break.
You’ll need to make your way to SCCC’s VIP Lounge on Level 9 for the consultation. The centre is just a 3-minute walk from Exit 3 of Shenton Way MRT Station, or a 7-minute stroll from Exit D of Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. So it’s well within lunchtime distance for most office workers in the CBD.
Nope, all you have to do is register ahead of time, as the programme only accepts a maximum of 15 visitors per day.
If you’re simply curious about traditional Chinese methods or in need of a quick health check-up, book a session and head down to SCCC to find out how you can improve your health. And if you have some time to spare after the consultation, pop by the Healing Heritage exhibition on Level 6 before heading back to the office.
