If you remember the free ice cream giveaway during the 2025 National Day weekend, you’ll know that Singaporeans showed up in full force for a complimentary scoop. And now, it looks like there’s another sweet freebie to help us beat the heat.
This is not a drill – supermarket chain Sheng Siong is treating shoppers to free Häagen-Dazs ice cream, and nope, there’s no minimum spend required. Here’s everything you need to know.

Besides blessing us with the iconic Sheng Siong Show – where lucky customers can win up to 100 times their spending in a wildly entertaining lucky draw – the brand is now taking things a step further by giving shoppers a complimentary icy treat too.
The free Häagen-Dazs ice cream will be distributed at 4 outlets across 4 days at 2pm on each day. So if you happen to live nearby or are willing to make a strategic detour, this might be the most rewarding supermarket run you’ve had in a while.

Like we’ve mentioned, no purchase and no minimum spend is required for you to claim your free ice cream from Sheng Siong. But there are some things to keep in mind.
Each person is limited to 1 pint of Häagen-Dazs, while stocks last. The most important thing to note is the 15th March 2026 expiry date – perhaps Sheng Siong is clearing stock, but hey, a freebie is still a freebie.
And honestly, just put on a movie and you’ll probably finish a pint in one sitting.
The worst-case scenario is leaving with only groceries. The best case scenario is leaving with groceries and a free tub of Häagen-Dazs to enjoy later. So pop by 1 of the 4 outlets early to avoid disappointment!
