After spending ¾ of 2017 rushing deadlines and finding time to breathe, some of us deserve some time-off before tackling the final quarter of 2017. Whether it’s uninterrupted me-time or bonding with a loved one you’re looking for, it’s time to put away our work phones and indulge in a relaxing getaway – as well as a whole lotta good food.
From now till 29 October, Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview is offering $60 dining credits per day for a minimum 2-night stay – applicable for in house orders as well as The Best Brew and ala-carte dishes and buffet lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch at Four Points Eatery.
Mouth-watering dishes at the Seafood Sunday Brunch fit for a king
Our recommendation is to go straight for the Oceania Seafood Buffet Sunday Brunch (S$55.00++ per adult, S$27.00++ per child | Sundays 11.30am – 3.00pm) at Four Points Eatery.
It offers free flow oysters, and yes, unlimited Moscato and Prosecco refills.
Seafood Sunday Brunch at the Four Points Eatery
Here’s what you can expect from Four Points Eatery’s Sunday brunch:
Grilled Boston Lobsters
Diving straight into it, the star of the brunch is undoubtedly the Grilled Boston Lobsters. Magnificently displayed in threes, the fresh lobsters were served on a large platter and stuffed generously with cheese sauce. Each diner gets a free half portion of it for the Sunday buffet brunch.
The lobster meat was also very tender, and when mixed with the cheese fillings, closely resembled the taste of spaghetti carbonara.
Crayfish Laska
We also enjoyed the Crayfish Laksa so much that we shamelessly helped ourselves to three portions, all the while reminding ourselves that since it was an all-you-can-eat buffet, why not?
The laksa had a hint of coconut, and while the soup may be a little mild, the sweet and stronger taste of the crayfish makes up for it.
Seafood Char Kuay Teow
The chefs recommended the Seafood Char Kuay Teow, which is also available on their ala carte menu. Topped with prawns, squids and octopus, the dish almost had us asking if we could dapao just after a few mouthfuls.
And yes, the free flow Prosecco and Moscato. A few glasses of these alone would already have made your money’s worth. While Moscato is sweet and refreshing, Prosecco has a stronger taste that pairs well with seafood.
The Seafood Buffet’s Oyster Bar
Shucking the oysters
Chefs slicing the sashimi into thick, juicy slices
The “Seafood on Ice” spread
Cereal Crab
Wide range of appetizers from salads, bread and makis
Refillable meat dishes cooked on-site
While 80% of the buffet is seafood-based, there are also non-seafood options at the appetizer counter which serves assorted makis, bread and salads, backed up by a melange of meat dishes.
Classic breakfast dishes like Eggs Benedict and Whole Baked Salmon & Spinach Pastry Crust were also available.
Ending our meal on a sweet note with desserts!
Buffet or not, a meal would never be complete without dessert. As stuffed as we were, our stomachs immediately made space when we saw the dessert bar which featured an array of confectionaries such as mango mousse, apple crumble and red velvet cake, as well as the local favourite, Durian Pengat.
Well like they say, you always have a separate tummy for desserts!
