For most of us, Christmas is about exchanging presents and stuffing ourselves with the most delightful food. But dig a little deeper, and you’ll find that it’s also about spending time with our loved ones. Whether it’s by feasting on meals together or catching up through simple conversation, we tend to overlook these things.
To celebrate these moments, FairPrice has the Super Shopper Challenge and affordable deli sets for the Christmas season. Here’s what you can look forward to:
With every $30 you spend at FairPrice stores, you’ll snag one chance to enter the Christmas Super Shopper Challenge.
There’ll be two rounds within each event. Top winners for each round will then compete in one final event to take home the grand prize.
The first round you’ll encounter is Guess the Price, where you’ll battle other contestants to guess the correct price of a given product. Those of you who are familiar with The Price Is Right will know that speed and reflexes are crucial if you’re keen on coming out on top.
Following that, speedy shoppers will feel right at home at the Beat the List round. Each winner will be given a shopping list full of items they’ll have to collect within the given time limit.
At the end of it all, the winner with the highest amount of vouchers won will move on to compete in the finale, which will happen on 3rd January 2020.

All winners for each event will walk away with FairPrice vouchers based on their scores in Guess the Price and Beat the List. But the real deal is on 3rd Jan 2020, when top winners from each event will duke it out to score $50,000 worth of FairPrice vouchers! If you ask me, the chances of winning are even better than striking TOTO.
And given that Christmas is nearly upon us, that means it’s time for the festive preparations to kick in. Whether we’re toiling in the kitchen for the feast, or deliberating gift ideas, the most festive time of the year can also be the most stressful.
But the abundance of festive-related services available means that things don’t necessarily have to be this taxing. FairPrice’s very own Christmas catalogue features everything from gift ideas to full Christmas deli set meals fit for a party.
Tasty Roast Capon Chicken set ($35)
If you want an alternative to the usual turkey, chicken’s always a safe bet. You can consider FairPrice’s Tasty Roast Capon Chicken set ($35), which features a buttery, herb-marinated chicken as its centrepiece.
The rich chestnut stuffing pairs perfectly with the lightness of the meat to create a burst of flavours in your mouth. Along with the sides of paprika ham and cranberry cheese sausages, it’s enough to feed a group of 6-8 pax.
X’mas Collections ($73.90)
You can also consider the X’mas Collections ($73.90), which presents you with a roasted lamb leg along with a thick roll of smoked turkey ham, or the Roasted Beef Italian Herbs set ($39.90).
Roasted Beef Italian Herbs set (Halal) ($39.90)
The above meal sets are all Halal-certified, so you can rest easy knowing that everyone will be able to enjoy the Christmas food. All you’ll need to do is place your orders at least 3 days in advance at any FairPrice store. You can collect your food on the day itself – just make sure to preheat before your guests arrive!
They’re not just stocked with food either. Browse through their catalogue, and you’ll also see various toys and homeware products like kettles and towel sets. They function perfectly well as X’mas gifts, so if you’re stuck looking for last-minute ideas, simply pick something that suits your budget.
With so many ways to celebrate ranging from shopping vouchers to Christmas deli sets, all you have to do is to sit back, relax, and enjoy the festive season. After all, nothing is more blessed than being in the company of your loved ones.
