7 Easy Milk Recipes For Comfort-Food Drinks & Desserts, Like Bubble Tea & Creme Brûlée Bread Pudding

Easy lactose free milk recipes

For most of us, milk has been a staple in our lives ever since we were babies. In the morning, we mix it with cereals and add it to tea or coffee, while an occasional cup of milk eases us into bed before we sleep. Not to forget, it’s also in our favourite bubble teas.

But if you’re looking for other experimental ways to consume your daily dose of dairy, here are 7 easy milk recipes you can follow to create delicious, yet healthier drinks and desserts. Best part: all of these are suitable for lactose intolerant folks as well!

1. Banana Milk Bubble Tea

Ordering BBT always presents me with a dilemma. 0% sugar is borderline tasteless, but 25% is still too sweet. But here’s a healthier way to customise sweetness to your favourite drink – DIY banana milk bubble tea. It’s easy to make, and bananas are naturally sweet and rich in vitamin C to aid digestion too.

A combination of banana and milk would be a recipe for a toilet disaster for some people. But if you switch to lactose free milk, you’ll skip the tummy troubles without compromising the taste.

Whip up easy milk recipes with Magnolia’s lactose free milk

Milk offers us a host of possibilities as to what we can create – it goes well with tea, coffee and makes delicious desserts such as pudding. However, although I drank a ton of milk as a baby all the way into my teenage years, my body grew to become lactose-intolerant as I got older – something I realised other people experienced too.

Bloating, gassiness and cramps are just some of the symptoms I began facing in my early 20s when drinking milk or consuming milk-based products. If you know my pain, you’d be delighted that Magnolia has launched the new Magnolia PLUS Lactose Free milk, that can be drunk by itself, or used to make treats you won’t have to FOMO about anymore.

Magnolia PLUS Lactose Free milk tastes just as smooth and creamy as regular fresh milk. It also contains nutrients found in fresh milk such as calcium, vitamin D3, B2 and B12 – allowing you to enjoy the richness of milk and reap its benefits, while not having to worry about an uncomfortable stomach that normally follows.

After using it to make treats like honey cinnamon milk, apple pie smoothie and vanilla cold brew overnight oats, I was delighted that while the taste of the milk was natural, it was easy to digest and didn’t induce the squirms that I’d usually get post-meal.

While lactose intolerance is a manageable problem, it causes discomforts that result in you second-guessing your decision to drink that glass of latte before an all-important meeting. With Magnolia’s lactose free milk, you can ensure your stomach will be able to handle it, and be eased of any worries while going about your day.

The Magnolia PLUS Lactose Free milk is priced at just $4.50 for a 946ML carton, and available conveniently at major supermarkets, hypermarkets and participating retail outlets.
